The experience was atrocious. We came to test-drive and maybe purchase a certified pre owned vehicle and the pressure to "sign and drive" was repulsive. How is a dealership going to try to sell us a vehicle for $32,000 and out the door $40,000? Hmmm, I know there are sales tax, license and doc fees but that shouldn't equate to $8,000 on the bottom line. I saw the document and they quoted us an average interest rate of 11%+. They alleged the interest rate to be "average". They never asked us about our credit rating. They said... read more

Our experience with Camelback Toyota over the past 3 days has been nothing short of HORRIBLE. My fiancé and I, along with our 8 month old daughter, were in a head on collision on Friday. Our Toyota Camry is beyond totaled. We are alive, but beat up and bruised. The last thing we wanted to do was go car shipping, but obviously didn't have an option. We went to Camelback Toyota and ended up with a salesman named Ike. I couldn't have been clearer on EXACTLY what we wanted. We know our credit, our down payment, our interest rate... read more

Business response:

At Camelback Toyota we value the opinions of all of our guests. I personally have returned calls to Ms. Mosher to discuss this experience furthur, no return call was received. At Camelback Toyota all of our incoming calls are recorded for purposes such as this, for training purposes etc. The phone call you mention in your review was nothing like you state. I do invite you to Camelback to listen to the call between our associate and your fiance. Mr. Davidson, was patient while discussing again our final price offer on the des... read more

Went in first oil change/check low tire pressure light was on had the toy/4runner 2012 for just about a year. I don't drive it much the Mileage was 2,203 miles was told a nail was in tire and would cost me more than 200 for 1 tire. This is the main thing I hate about dealerships when they see a woman walk in automatically she's dumb. 2200 miles on a truck tire and 1 nail and I need to replace the tire. To make it even worse they put my Spare on the truck, said it was to keep me safe and then cleaned the truck up and let me l... read more

Yikes!! That's how I feel about this place! It was ok until the negotiation began. My sales person was very dead set on his own terms and price. When I made an offer of my own he seemed to get angry. After some negotiating we had nearly reached a final price that my sales person was ready to have my sign papers on. I made one last offer on a price I felt comfortable with (which was not some low ball offer- it was $500 less than the price he was ready to have my sign on.) So he got up and walked over to the sales desk (which ... read more

Business response:

Hello cpedersen80, Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your unsatisfactory experience. At Camelback Toyota we strive to provide an experience that exceeds our customers expectations, unfortunately in your case we fell extremely short of our high standards of customer service. Your remarks will be used to address the sales staff and managers, of how disappointed Camelback Toyota is with their performance. Whether or not any customer chooses to purchase a vehicle with us, we emphasis they are treated with a caring en... read more

Everything was smooth except F&I. Too much time trying to get me to buy add on protections from extended warranties to maintenance. If I was the GM of the dealership I would reduce the high pressure F&I sales tactics. At one point I almost called off the entire deal just because I could only say "No" so many times.

On a quest to find a used car, my husband and I visited Camelback Toyota. It took a while, but they found a car we might like that was in our price range. We informed the salesperson and manager that we were not comfortable making a decision at that point, but we would be willing to consider it over our meal. We agreed to call them back once we were finished eating. During our 60-minute meal, we received two phone calls from the dealership asking if we had made a decision. This was frustrating, as we had already planned to c... read more

These guys are pretty sleazy. After bartering back and forth for a bit, they return with an offer which was 50% more than what we agreed upon. They leave again, and return with the exact SAME offer but stretched over 7 years instead of 5 (must have thought I was using that calculator for something else???). Then the usual attempts at upsales by the financing guy...and finally a week later they call and say they want more money because of the bank. Did I say SLEAZY? A deal is a deal, but not at Camelback Toyota!

My fiance and I went here to purchase a Prius. We got there and met Samba first. He went and got keys for us to test drive a 2009 Prius and then we weent inside. I wanted a newer reliable vehicle with a good warranty. Samba was being trained by Boo who took over when we got inside. We were talking about the price as we didn't want to pay the ridiculously over inflated price on the sticker and wanted a reasonable monthly payment. We were ready to purchase the 2009 when Boo said that they had a 2007 they just got in and it wou... read more

Business response:

Dear ksuss, We again apologize and regret if you feel Camelback Toyota was unprofessional or dishonest in it's sales process or service experience. We would like to clarify a couple of statements. When you arrived at Camelback Toyota your service advisor informed you that it would be a 4 hour wait to diagnosis the check engine light being on. He offered you a complimentary rental car so you wouldn't be inconvenienced and could leave the dealership. You declined our offer and choose to wait the 4 hours. Our first gesture of c... read more

My husband and I specifically went to Camelback Toyota for a truck listed online. When we arrived at the dealership we asked to see the truck listed in the online add. We were taken to an entirely different vehicle and then told that the truck we wanted to see must be somewhere else on the lot. When Bob started to help us locate the truck another salesman mumbled that the truck in the online add was in detailing and no one could view it. Immediately Bob pointed to a black truck 3 rows away and said "How about that black truc... read more
