First of all, this review is ONLY for the sales department because the service department is excellent, Randy specifically always takes the best care of me. The sales department really could learn a thing or two about customer service. THE ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! First Bad Experience: Traded in my car friday 8/10 for a VW and my check engine light came on saturday night. Made an appointment with Kia on monday 8/13 and Kia said they needed to send it over to VW (no big deal) Three hours or so pass and im getting worried. As many reviewers have stated the price online is NOT the price you will get. They try to explain it in many different way but the basic point is we are not selling the vehicle for that price. The only reason they receive 2 stars is that the salesman was very helpful. I would suggest you try Santan VW, no haggle with great service.
Where do I start?...Wednesday afternoon I went to Camelback VW attempting to acquire a newer vehicle with a better loan and lower monthly payment. My current vehicle, a 2016 VW Passat (purchased from this same dealership) was appraised at $11000. I had also agreed to put $1000 down. By Friday morning, I was told a deal had been worked out. This review is specific to the Service department and the excessive wait time for my oil change appointment (as a side note, I had a 4 star positive experience with this sales team when I bought my new car there). When I arrived at Camelback for my complimentary oil change (my first oil change for my 2018 Passat I purchased there) I asked how long it would take. I won't go back! First we had to ask more than once for them to find the car that we saw online. Once they brought it out Their advertised price online doesn't include thousands of dollars of add ons that I don't even want. We asked if those things were already on the car and they said yes. When we asked them to point them out they admitted that they were not on the car yet but would be added once the papers were signed. CAN YOU SAY CROOKS THEY tried to charge us for items not on the car and when we confronted them they refused to talk about it. I don't recommend this dealer for anything. I have a 2007 vw Passat one day it stopped working because of the fuel controle module. Luckily the week after I got a recall letter over that exact thing. I took the car right away in a tow truck on a Friday, they said they had to order the part and the car would be finished on a Wednesday. The car lasted there a whole month and didn't receive no call so I went and they told me "oh yeah your car is done but it still don't run". Unethical. They don't honor truecar offers. I liked a car I saw at their dealership with the excessive Zaktek fees so i decided to go through truecar.com and avoid the crazy negotiations. This dealer is a certified truecar dealership and they're supposed to honor the offers made through this method. I got the real cost of the car (3k less) and then received the offer letter from the dealership. I emailed them and they confirmed is the same VIN, same car I looked at.
