Angel was great. We didn't end up buying a car there because we subsequently got about 100 unwanted calls from Camelback VW. Even when we blocked them on the phone, they would call from another number. Ridiculous.
After I got my new TDI Passat, the EPA came down on VW. Long story short, I was able to get some free oil changes, two services. The oil change which included tire rotation. Fast forward to today. I went to change my oil and the filter looked worn and torn. The oil had much more particulate in it than I am used to. When I went to rotate the tires, they were not even touched. Sales and Service department are crooks. Told me my daughters VW Jetta we purchased from them needed all these repairs because it had sand in the condenser for her air conditioner. They said it had above normal wear and tear on the car. Advised them we bought it from them and we had been complaining about these issues since a month after we bought it from them. Do not make the mistake of ever stopping in at Camelback VW or giving them any personal information. The sales manager tried to physically grab my husband as we were on our way out the door during our one & only visit. He lunged toward us but missed. Apparently they decided that one disturbing encounter was basis enough for an annoyingly clingy if not stalker-ish relationship with them. Camelback Volkswagen is still a dirty dealership. I contacted them today about a used VW their used car sales manager emailed me about. I then sent a question about dealer add-ons, the salesperson told me the car had been sold over a year ago. Warning to the wise, the price they post is never the price when you get there; expect all kinds of ridiculous dealer add-ons that they want you to pay for. Too bad negative stars aren't an option with crap of a dealership. So my son goes in to buy a car, needs a co-signer and they ask if I would be able to. I applied that evening and NEVER heard back, not from the sales person, the sales manager (Ya Daniel McCoy, you know who you are!). We leased two VW R vehicles and we ended up purchasing them at this dealership. This was in June, and ever since then, they have had my Tiguan 5 times because the battery keeps dying and they keep telling us they fix the issue. If they fixed it then why does it continue to die? Stay far away from this place. We purchased a used Jeep, (2016 25k miles) we were sold an extended warranty that doesn't cover the part that broke. well that's just awesome.. They will not help you, just basically say it's your fault that's what you bought. Nice customer service, will steer everyone away from this place!
DON'T DO IT I went into Camelback VW on Saturday April 6, 2019. After almost 3 hours spent with Ricardo; my salesman, I was thrilled because I drove off the lot with a 2016 Tiguan. Contract and all, with no idea that I wasn't actually going to get to keep the car. Fast forward six days.
