my YELP review of Camelback VW on 12/27/2018: Over a decade ago, I took my still running (very well, I might add) 2000 VW Beetle here to see if they could diagnose the engine light staying on. This place is a joke. I bought a used vehicle and was told they would fix the alignment. It's an easy fix...still not fixed after 3 appointments. Please don't buy a car from this place. There are other dealerships out there for you that won't be full of lying sales people. My second appointment I was told that it would be a 15 minute wait and I would be able to go back to work. Camelback Volkswagen does not advertise truthfully. We went in with a quoted Internet price and they refused to honor that price.
We just bought a car here and it was such a horrible experience. They are dishonest and shady. If you value your credit score, do not do business here. They ran our credit 8 times. Eight, for one car, because their salesman made a number of mistakes. We only authorized one! They also misreported the info to the credit bureau so now I am having to write to the bureaus to get it corrected to prevent further damage to my previously excellent score. Never again. This would have been my third purchase at this dealership. I have a unique situation and not the greatest credit and was over promised and under delivered on the rate I was signing for. After bickering about the bogus dealer add ons and a return to "verify" paperwork I was greeted with a higher interest rate. After saying no, they offered to buy back the rate at the agreed to price. I recently purchased a 2019 Jetta and I had used an old car as a blind trade in. These people made it seem that I could still keep my car after . BUT after the paperwork went through they refused to give me back the title to my car. This was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Please beware of LIAR'S before you waste your time and money purchasing a car from them . I will never come back nor recommend anyone to go there.
One of the associates told me my car was in need of a recall so I spent $565 to tow it down from northern az. Once I got to phx, I called again only to find out that the previous owner of my vehicle had already redeemed the recall. I called to speak to a manager and left two messages and never heard back. I lost time and money thanks to their ignorance and lack of concern for others.
Worst dealership. I only ever came here for tire service and I get nitrogen in my tires and I have a 2017 Jetta they I'm leasing through lundes VW and I prefer Lundes because I never have an issues going there and their response time is always reasonable. I recently bought a used 07 eclipse spyder at there used car lot. i chose the car because i liked the color, also low miles. the dealer said he would retint the windows for free. so i was happy. he said they put in a new battery & tires. i figured it was a good car. so i put $3500.00 down & financed the balance. i did not put the top down until the next morning. the key fob did not work, they said they would make a new one, which they did, it did not fix the fob. it worked randomly. when it went to put the top down it did no... read more
