Very disappointed. We went there especially because of Angie's list. We expected to get a good deal. We were buying carpet and laminate for the whole house. Found the Salesman polite and pleasant but not that clued in. He had to check prices for each item we asked about and we found the prices very expensive. Maybe we were unlucky but we did not feel any willingness to work with us. Well it was a non-starter. We left the store without purchase.
no services performed. I called captial Carpet and Tile and they wanted me to go to the showroom and pick out tile before the guy comes and gives me a quote. she stated that they come and take measurements but that i have to pick out my tiles first. I stated why would I come down and do all this when I do not even know how much you are going to charge for the installation. She was not to helpful like if they did not need the job.
Capitol Carpet & Tile gave us quotation for tiles and laying two weeks ago. They were $4,000 more. The guy who did the quotation for us was very nice, he even asked me if I want to have a copy of it but when I called the store, the man whom I talked to does not want to furnish me a copy so I decided that I do not want to have business with them at that moment.

After recieving this response our store manager contacted this member. She explained the tile that was quoted from another retailer was not the tile that we had quoted. We have no information on the quality or quantity that was quoted to her. Also we are unable to confirm any other discrepencies in her stated quote to our quote since she never responded to our request to return to our store to go over the floor plan and or quote as is customary after our measuring service supplies us a floor plan. Retiling of master bathroom and guest bathroom floors We had hired Capitol earlier this year to install new flooring in 2 of our bedrooms. Our initial experience was a good one -- the price was good, the service personnel were excellent, and they did the work when they said they would. I would rate them an A on that particular work. Did not hire. Did not hire.
I thought I would get help with tile but the salesperson looked at my tile sample-(did not leave his desk) and said they did not have anything to match.Before I left I showed the sales person a quote from D&B tile and was told they could not meet that price. I was surprised that no one was interested in my business. Before I left the sales person gave me the number of an independent contractor who installed his tile,saying he was good at small jobs. I went to Capitol Carpet & Tile about a month ago to buy ceramic tile for my studio. I had a terrible experience with them. I went to another company because of the fact that I was going back and forth trying to buy ceramic tile for my studio. I found a tile that I just fell in love with. So I went back three times just to make sure that it was the one that I wanted. He then gave me a quote. It is difficult to respond to a review when the person who has placed the review is not a customer since we do not have a record of this person to refer to. The member states he went to our store(s) on different dates and spoke with different employees. He states that the pricing was not the same when he returned on these different occasions. Ceramic Tile Installation in Master Bedroom and Bath Custom Draperies for Master Bathroom Salesmen Carl Green (tile) and Carl Weinstein (draperies) were professional and knowledgable. The Tile Installation project Manager, Brian, was always too busy with something else to come do his job.
