This program sounds great however I had to cancel it back in October had to go through emails and mailing a letter and missed it in November have another deduction sent it in December took their time and just got it yesterday they say so I have paid for a program I don't wallet for the past three months very difficult to cancel don't know why they don't upgrade the system to cancel by phone seems like Grabbing program to me now. Very disappointed

This company is a scam. I purchased my contract in july when i purchased my used car. I was tol that after 30 days and/or 1000 miles i would be covered. Well in september the transmission went out. I took the car to the dealership that services this particular vrand of car. The warrenty company spent a full week arguing with the shop about service records. Aft that it took two days for and inspector then the requested that the transmission be broken down to point for failure so that another inspector could take pictures. The... read more

I'm a college student, and don't have a lot of money, so I'd been looking into purchasing a used vehicle online for a low price. I hired CarChex to go inspect the vehicle to make sure I was getting what I paid for, and I honestly had a horrible experience. First, it took about 3-4 days to hear anything from them after placing my order - only for them to say they needed to charge me more money because of the location of the car. My experience with CARCHEX is limited to the purchase process. I decided to cancel after less than a month so can't rate them on the actual value of the warranty. I did my research and decided that I would go with either ********* or CARCHEX. Both are pricey but CARCHEX was willing to offer me an exclusionary policy while ********* was not. Very Unprofessional, I meet all the requirements to get my car work on and fix. But the had me moving my car to multiply mechanics for service until I ran out of places to take it so they then wanted me to take it to a mechanic a hour away. So I ended up paying out pockets($1,800). Instead of reimbursement they just want me to skip the next two months payment. I cancelled and they add on so many charges and fee until I only received $67 out $389. Please DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM

Avoid CarChex at all costs. Be aware their contact states that any refund of the amount you pay on the contract is offset by any claims that were paid. This is not explained to you when purchasing. If I had know this I would have just paid monthly. Here is the situation. Called, got a 4 year contact in 06/2015. Had a few claims between 06/2015 through 03/2018. Still had a year on the contract. My experience with Carchex has been awful. I purchased this plan after researching other companies. I even checked the BBB and it has an A+ rating. (I purchased this plan as of last year. I have the platinum plan. The most expensive plan) I had to take my car in for repairs. They company gave me and my repair shop the run around. They took time responding in order for me to get an rental car, make payment to the shop and the process is very frustrating. This is a buyer beware report to make sure new customers are aware of the service provided by this Company. When you purchase a warranty please be sure to have repair records up to a year out of the reported claim before purchasing. If you do not have current repair records this could void your warranty. Also as previously stated carchex are somehow connected to another 3rd party provider that actually services your warranty. I have had an extended warrenty on my car with carchex for 3 years and have never used it. I now have a minor(in dollars) problem on tthe door handle. Yhey are makig it extremely difficult for the dealer /service dept. to kay the repair. I have been without the car for 2 days for a short(in time) repair. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Do not do business with these people.
