They take to long to send you your refund when you cancel the contract.

2 stars because my car was eventually repaired. This extended service company tried everything to get out of covering the repair. They needed proof of oil changes every 5000 miles I gave years of receipts of oil changes every 2500 miles. I was accused of hiding info on service records hiding pre-existing conditions. Not true. The inspector took over a week to come see the car resulting in a 3 week wait to get my car back. Almost done, a bomb was dropped on me when I was told that they only pay $100.00 labor. All I did was call for a quote. The quote was nearly twice as costly as other companies' quotes, and when I addressed that, the VERY pushy salesman insinuated that that's because the other companies were run out of apartment complexes and/or didn't have any insurance backing. He then told me he was offering me a 30-day money back guarantee, which I know is required by Texas state law. Then, the salesman insulted me, and I hung up. Nobody should be treated this way. Criminals!!! I purchased a titanium plan so my vehicle would be covered, I had an unfortunate incident where my Mercedes S63 blew a cylinder, CarChex has taken more than a month to approve the claim and they will not cover the full repair. This is absolutely crazy! I paid dearly for this coverage and no where in my contract does it have a dollar limit on the cost of repairs. The product seems to make sense and be of a decent quality - from someone who is not a customer, but just exploring it as an option. However, sales practices are quite pressuring and aggressive. The representative I spoke to was informative at first, but became more and more pushy, and ended the conversation quite rudely when I insisted I needed time to consider my decision. I purchased a Carchex warranty in December of 2018 paying $192 per month. Due to some financial reverses I was forced to cancel the warrant. I was forced to retire from my job and am now on a fixed income. I cancelled the warranty around July first by sending an email, I had heard nothing from the company, I followed up this week and was told they had not received my email, and in addition it takes 35 to 60 days for the refund. Ugh, this extended warranty company is UNBELIEVABLE! After 3 weeks of my vehicle just sitting at a Shop, waiting on "Inspectors", me speaking to 7 different adjusters (I kid you not), $1400 out of pocket tear down cost, my claim was denied/close. I just called for a free quote and was really disappointed in their sales approach. As soon as I said I was comparing my options and wasn't ready to purchase a policy, the sales person got very aggressive and accused me of wasting his time. He harangued about being the best warranty on the market and how he was "perplexed" why I wouldn't just purchase the policy and the fact that I wanted to think about it was a waste of everyone's time also.
