I purchased a warranty through Carchex and when I needed to use it, the administrator declined to cover my car with nothing other than their opinion that the problem happened before I bought the contract, yet I have a service record showing the car was checked out prior to purchase and shows there was no issue with the car leaking oil. I thought i was buying a plan that covered the essential to a car running and find out that i did not. Talk to a manager who pretty told me i did not know nothing about my car or any other car. He told me that i am not a mechanic and i did not put my car on lift to find the problem. My call was base off of why one thing was covered and other things surrounding that component was not. I had a disappointing experience with Carchex approximately a month ago. I brought my VW to the dealership for repair, and based on the diagnostic it needed a new thermostat housing/water pump. I gave the service rep my warranty information, hoping to get my car the following day after the repair would be complete. I did not hear anything from the service rep, and decided to call him the following day. He told me that he had been trying to contact my warranty company, but had no success. I really did not want to write this review, but as a nurse, I've learned to be an advocate for those who can't speak for themselves. This company Carchex, and their administrator ****, have got to have the worst customer service I've experienced in life, by far. I paid for an extended warranty with the conpany, but I've received nothing but horrible service. I have been trying to reach this company since 23 July, I've been left on hold, hung up on, my agent won't respond to emails etc. I had to contact the billing company to stop the billing. Will never recommend not deal with this company again. All I want to do is cancel my extended warranty as my vehicle is modified and they won't cover it anyway which my agent did not inform me of. Salesperson strong-armed and used tactics on covering a car I hadn't purchased yet. Said I wouldn't get the discounts he offered for a car that I had not purchased yet. Have since attempted to cancel and get a return. Get put on perma-hold, have emailed the sales person with no response.

I've been a customer with Carchex for quite some time now and was very happy until during the Covid process I was advised that my payments can be moved to the back of my contract for 3 months and my payements will automatically begin again in June. Well i received a letter of cancellation from Carchex due to non payments after calling and speaking with quite a few people nothing was resolved. My experience with the company has been nothing but frustrating. I purchased the Titanium wrap around policy. I took my car in for regular service and was notified of two issues by the dealer: 1) a leak in the oil valve and 2) a leak in the car crankshaft. Carchex was notified of the problem, but did not send an adjustor out to the dealer for 5 days to verify the problem. They then told the dealer they would only pay for $41 dollars (the cost of an after-market part) for the oil valve and not for labor for a $1100 job. Nor w... read more

I purchased a warranty from CarChex in October 2019. Today 4/7/2020 I requested some warranty work to be done on my car at my ASE Certified garage who was told that I didn't have coverage. I would recommend NOT to purchase an extended warranty from CarChex, they are a scam and will deny your claim when you need to use it.
