We used to visit the Caring Hands on Glebe, and liked that one a lot. However, we just started visiting this recently opened one in Clarendon, and they are upholding the same high quality of customer service as we experienced at the Glebe location. Being a new location, it isn't super busy, so getting a last minute appointment was not too troublesome. They are also open late which really works well for us. Dr. Campfield is the best! Her diagnoses and treatment plans have contributed to a healthy and happy life for our three Westie's. When we heard she was opening in Clarendon Va, we were so happy. She has been the vet for our three Westie's for 7 years as we used to see her at the Centreville Caring Hands when we lived in Centreville. I recently rescued a dog who began acting like she had a UTI. I had taken her for the quick, mandatory exam the rescue requires a few day prior but I had not been impressed with that vet and did not want to return there. I began calling vets the next morning at 7am to see if anyone could see her same day since she would be a new patient. I called the S Glebe location after reading Yelp reviews and unfortunately they had no availability, but they recommended I call the new Clarendon location. Same great service I've come to know and love with my furbaby at Caring Hands Alexandria. Glad to have them closer to home and with plenty of parking and a beautiful sparkling new facility. Doctors and techs always are thorough and never rush us through our questions no matter how lengthy. I appreciate their attention to detail, their gentle manner with our nervous dog, and their playful excited manner with our puppy. Love you guys!!

They're so expensive. They're sooooo expensive. I understand that they're a business FIRST, buuut they're cold and cruel. They said to me, "So what about this bill?" Like they were on the street. They didn't collect the bill when I was in there the last time. I didn't intentionally leave without paying. It was a follow up visit. They called me back in to check on my cats ears. Update: apparently a condolence note was sent, but to the wrong address and I just received lovely flowers from the practice. Dr Thornton did also call me about Gracie's passing and she said she had tried to reach out previously but it went straight to voicemail and thought I wasn't ready to speak about it yet. I do appreciate these gestures now, but again, in the months leading up to her passing, it was really frustrating not getting follow up calls when promised and feeling like my dog's care wasn't a priority.

This place microchipped my cats a year ago and gave me forms to fill out so they could register the microchips. I recently checked and the numbers aren't registered at all. When i called them they informed me that they don't register microchips anymore. This would've been great to know a year ago, but instead they let me sit around obliviously thinking that my cats were chipped and registered to me.
