As I was going through old paperwork, I saw our Carmack bill for moving to our current home. I remembered how wonderful they had been. Due to delays on the seller's part, we were moving in on the same day that they were moving out of four bedroom homes (a local move for both). Our crew had carefully loaded everything onto the truck and were parked outside of our new home, almost two hours before the seller's moving company was able to load their much less stuff onto their truck. It went well. We had to go to closing after they packed the truck from Centreville. Closing took a lot longer than we expected so the guys and the truck had to sit out front the new house and wait for us. Once in, they moved up quickly and got everything done and set for us. There were a few damages that of course I didn't see until months later but over all it went well. Movers were professional and prompt. The sales guy was a little sketchy but overall good service. moved us from Centreville to Bristow

I can't say enough good things about this company. I called the company on Friday thinking I would get a call by Monday to set something up in a week or so. But, I received a call back within an hour and was able to have movers out here on Sunday morning. I received a call when they were on their way and a 2nd call to find out if it was ok to show up a little early. They had to go up and down 5 flights of stairs at least 6 times and never nicked a wall. The two men were very professional and friendly and quite helpful. They ... read more

unknown Carmack was superb on the front end. The picked up our household goods, stored them and delivered them from VA to TX 6 weeks later. Everything would have been A rating except that local talent was used to off load our household goods. The delivery was rushed, chaotic and the damages we incurred (minor in the grand scheme) were all done in the delivery. Carmack is excellent. We wish they had used Carmack employees on the delivery end.

unknown Local move from MD to VA. We moved from a 3 story home to 4 stories. They were excellent about being careful with our furniture and our walls. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

unknown Two guys spent the entire day packing for me - they were incredible. We are still going to spend some nights at the old house so very few rooms could simply be packed. Not only did they pack more than I expected, they did it amid my chaos with good humor and friendliness. The next day three guys packed their truck with the boxes and furniture. Again, they did it with more humor than I could expect and helped ensure the items that had to be moved were moved. So far, I have unpacked about 50 boxes and nothing was broke... read more

Again, they did it with more humor than I could expect and helped ensure the items that had to be moved were moved. So far, I have unpacked about 50 boxes and nothing was broken.

Getting my house ready to put on the market, I needed to "de-clutter" a bit. I had my stuff already boxed up but I was pleased with the quality of service from Carmack in everything they did. Small furniture items were wrapped for protection; my heavy exercise biks was handled carefully, as was everything else, to protect them from any damage. They were very good. We were very satisfied, and they were very helpful on both moves. We used them for long term storage, a short distance move and a long distance move.
