This is the most garbage home warranty. Do not give them your money. A technician came out to repair my washer, and while they corrected the original issue, they caused a new major one, where my washer got stuck in a different cycle, overheated and filled my entire basement with smoke. When I had a technician come out for the second time (they gave me an 8 hour window, during the week, and said they had no availability on Saturday for the next month), they couldn't repair the problem they had caused and ordered a part. My Air Conditioning stopped working. I scheduled online and a tech was there later that day. He was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. He found the mouse that had made contact with my hot wire on the outside unit and my home was cool again!

Have had home service plus for several years. had used them maybe twice for minor repairs on Washing machine. Called asked for a service man to look at water heater, they came out the next day promptly, the service man reported it was shot and called sales rep to set up replacement. This was set for the next day. I took a half day off from work to get this done. When service man arrived who was a subcontractor he reported that code upgrades would need to be installed, and he was unable to perform the work. He made some calls... read more

If negative stars was possible that's what they would have earned from my dealings with this company. After multiple "miscommunications" calling into customer service and listening to a baby cry while a rude rep muted our conversations I finally decided today they can't be trusted to even arrive for an estimate how could they possibly do a successful A/C replacement. THE WORST customer service experience I have had in a very very long time.. Chose anyone else but this company

Absolutely painful. Paid for coverage for multiple years, had furnace go out so called them. Apparently they had an old address of mine in their system (home I sold 3+ years ago) so denied my claim. That was Feb 10, it's now April 17th and they're still calling me to fill out paperwork to get it settled. Avoid these folks at all cost, I hope the state drops a fine soon for poor and predatory business practices.

Absolutely would not recommend. Had an issue with my furnace; they sent out a technician who, without doing any sort of tests, told us our vents needed to be cleaned and they'd be happy to do it for us for $300. (Although the vents did need to be cleaned, that was not the issue and we paid out of pocket for another company to come in and fix the issue.) And even though they breached the contract by refusing to send a qualified technician who'd actually fix our issue, we have to continue to pay them for another year, "per our... read more

I'm not impressed with this service. I called in and they even admit wait times can be 11 hours or more for customers for same day service. They also gave a window of 8 hours for service, so basically you have to stay home the whole day.

Home Service Plus Customer Service is terrible! What is the point of a service window from 11-3 if they can arrive up to 60 minutes late without notification? So in reality the service window is 11-4. RIDICULOUS. The technician should call before the service window ends if they are not going to arrive before the end of the service window and give the CUSTOMER a choice as to whether or not they still want the technician to come. Absolutely, positively beyond frustrated but the lack of communication and tact by this company. I pay for a service each month yet it has been 3!! YES THREE days and they still have not been to my place to look at my furnace. I have had no heat for 3!!! days, and all they say is oh here is a 10 hour window that you need to be home. What the hell is the point of having a service if you can't use it. I will be going to attorney general and bbb with complaints.
