I am so angry about getting an appointment to have a Tech come out to fix my dryer, I decided to write a review. I am shocked that every review on here is saying exactly what I was going to say. I pay $45.00 a month for coverage on most of my appliances. I started in 2012. For years I was happy because if I called, they were out within a couple of days. I called on 02/07/2021 due to my furnace not working and it was - 20 degrees outside. I scheduled my appointment at 11:30 that day and they said since I had no heat I would be a priority service call and they would be there by 23:00 that day. That time frame had come and gone with no service tech and no follow up phone call from CPE. Overnight temps were still around -20 degrees and still no heat. We've been a customer for 39 years, beginning back when it was Minnegasco. Never before have we had such a negative experience as this. Our furnace had been malfunctioning since Sept. It's the 3rd tech who noted we needed a new part for the furnace, as replacing the thermostat twice (once in Sept and then again on 12/01) and a tune-up in November, had not fixed the problem. CenterPoint Energy has the worst service ever. Our washer broke and had to wait over a week to get them to come out. They gave 8 hour window and did not show until very end of day. They had t to order part so we had to wait another 9 days for them to come again. The new part had a leak so had to order another part. Again, had to wait a week for part and then for them to come out. The person who came out said it was fixed and left. We tried the washer and got an error. Called 10/19/2020 to get my furnace repaired. I have been faithfully paying these jerks for years and now that I have a problem the soonest they say they can come is 10 days--Oct 29th!!! TEN DAYS when the temp outside is plummeting and my pipes might freeze. USELESS!! In other words they are selling a service they really can't provide because they are too cheap to hire the techs they need. STAY AWAY!!!

Their home service plus (HSP) is horrible! Besides the HSP basic plan, I added other appliances including the main drain. This has happened to me twice now where they gave me a 16 hour window for a technician to come out for the main drain and they didn't show up or called to cancel at the last minute. As a result, I had to call CenterPoint, be put on hold to speak to a representative and reschedule for another 10 hour window the next day! It's so frustrating. It’s a total ripoff they give you a 8 hr window than inform you 10 minutes before the last time of day that there not coming after you stay at home the home day !! We pay them over $500 a year for this!! I guess there the smart ones

Absolute worst service EVER! Their "Service Plus" should be called "Service Minus". Constantly saying "your appointment you've been waiting for a week got bumped to tomorrow. And then tomorrow, it gets bumped again" Absolutely ridiculous. If you're understaffed, then hire more people! THE WORST. You call to complain and get put on hold and then magically disconnects you. Terrible service, I have service plus with them and they do nothing right. If I could change providers I would in a minute. There supervisors do not communicate with each other, you have to constantly call back. A very unorganized business. There service technicians could use more training along with there managers.
