This is a completely useless service. We had our A/C go out and waited two weeks for a service tech to come out (fine, it's the busy season, we get that) but when he did he "wasn't equipped to handle the repair" and it would take another two weeks to get the actual repair done and NOT BE COVERED under the HSP plan. We called a competitor who came out the NEXT DAY and fixed it for less than what was quoted by HSP. Not worth our time nor our money.

I signed up for the replacement plan, which is a form of insurance for many of your appliances. Under this rather expensive plan, I was eligible for up to $450.00 if my water heater had to be replaced. A couple of months later the heater started leaking quite profusely from the bottom. I spent hours trying to get a hold of them. When I finally did, they sent out a guy to look at it who upon assessing it, determined that it indeed had to be replaced. More than 4 months ago after I missed two days of work due to CenterPoint's mistakes. They agreed to credit my account $100 to help partially compensate my lost wages. To date I have NOT received that credit. One month ago I called again. They apologized and said they would get the credit on my account. After waiting over four months for the credit, I paid the next bill $100 short. They assured me they would do it this time. We have been satisfied with their past service, but this issue is a dealbreaker. Our water heater is now out of commission for the third time in a month. During today's visit they ordered a part, to be delivered today, and the service guy said we might be able to get it installed yet today (Thursday). On its arrival we immediately called in. Thanks to Ashley and Home Service Plus I finally got rid of a rented water softener. I've been renting one for 9 years and was curious about how renting compared to purchasing so I called their equipment sales department and Ashley sent me 2 optIons. I selected the higher efficiency model and before weeks end, it was delivered and installed. Thanks to the easy financing - right on bill - it's not a large single payment. Not impressed. Tech came at 5:15 pm instead of 2-4 pm window. Diagnosed our gas fireplace issue and said parts would have to be ordered. Said the parts would be deliVered to our home in 2-4 biz days. Called today(over a week later) and was told 4-6 WEEKS wait for parts cUz they have to go thru cuStoms????? So here goes the wait. Fireplace weather will be over before it's fixed.

If you want to schedule repair ...... don't bother unless you are willing to wait 2-3 weeks .....absolutely unacceptable. They are advertising that they are available 24/7 but they don't tell you that's only to answers the calls not actually to fix your appliances. My dryer is broken and I call today and they put me down on the 24th which is more then 2 weeks out. They performed a repair on a dryer and it broke again later that week. their next availability was two weeks later. on that day their so called automated system "supposedly" call me which i can verify on my phone that there were no calls made to me all day. no voicemails either. only call made was the one i made to them. i was home and never heard anything from the service man who showed up. no knock or ring. after a recent update my skybell app had logged me off of the app so it wasn't responding. when i logged onto the app... read more

First of all I would like to say the 2 repairmen we had out to repair our dishwasher were very friendly and did a good job. The problem we had was not with them but with the company. It took 3 appointments before the first repairman came out, diagnosed the problem and ordered parts. The first 2 appointments were changed because Home Service Plus was too backed up. When the parts arrived we made another appointment to have them installed and it was changed 4 more times before someone came out. That is a total of 8 appointment... read more
