Terrible customer service terrible service call today to have my water heater looked at they told me the technician will be there between 12 and eight. I get a call at 6:47 hour and hour and 45 minutes later. Still no technician I have to call Centerpoint to find out what’s going on they say the technician got called to an emergency that’s one thing but no call from anybody to tell me that that happened. I pay $80 a month on top of my gas bill for a service that is horseshit. I will be looking for another warranty company. T... read more

On January 12, 2023, their technician did not fix the issue or diagnose the problem. He called for help and asked another person saying the module would fix the issue. He said he had to order a module and would come back and put it in when it shipped in the mail. 5 days later the part came and the same technician put it in and said the water drained in the quick wash cycle. He left. The water still did not drain out of the other 7 cycles (normal, cold, deep, etc.) in the rinse cycles. I paid $****** for washer repairs that w... read more

Absolutely disgusting company and customer service. They do not care if you have children in the house. They will take their sweet time getting to service you. I had to have a gas line repaired and it has been done since 9am. The soonest they can get here to turn my heat back on is 4pm. So now my kids are coming to come home to a freezing house because they didn't think that having heat in 30 degree weather with children was an emergency. Appalling. As soon as I can, I'm eliminating the need for gas.

In April 2019 I had CenterPoint Energy install new AC, furnace and water heater. There were multiple problems over a period of many months with both the AC and water heater that CenterPoint repeatedly failed to fix. AC eventually had to be replaced. And after months of reporting gas leaks, they finally figured out that the water heater had been installed incorrectly and was leaking gas into the basement. I was a long time customer of the service plan but now know these plans are over sold and understaffed. I had a freezer go out, food thawing, the first available appointment was two weeks out. I was able to hire someone the same day privately to address the problem. There needs to be oversight of programs like these. The company who I had a long time contract was only available in two weeks but I can easily find someone the same day. I left a complaint with Minnesota Attorney Generals Office. This is basically a scam.

Terrible company. I rented a townhouse for 2 years, I set up my account with CE and paid my auto bill every month. After I moved out, I received a “final bill” of almost $350. I contacted them and supposedly the gas meter wasn’t reading correctly for 2+ years, even before I moved in. So the “final bill” was a corrected bill for the past 12 months. I am very disappointed in the home service plus they gave me an 8 hour window for a technician to come and fix our range on a Friday. I took a full day off to be present for the person to get in and repair the appliance and when no one showed up I called at 4 pm to find out why and was told they were busy and could not make it and auto scheduled me to a day I would not be available.

The Home Plan customer service is horrible. Tried to schedule a covered appliance repair. It states on the schedule that you will get a call 30 minutes before your appt. What they do not say is the call is automated and will not leave a message, so if you work for a living and cannot be taking a day off (appt window time 12 - 4) then you have to answer all random calls that come in to your phone. We had a hot water heater issue. Service tech was scheduled 3 times to come out and fix. All three times were no shows and noone told us they were not going to show. Three days of 12 hour and 10 hour waits and no show. My experience is very similar to Gary M. No excuse for this! We still have not fixed the issue at this point. I will be cancelling my home service plus.
