It took Centetpoint 3 weeks to get a timer for our dryer. I personally called the Speed Queen manufacturer and was told the part was in stock and could be shipped overnight. Centerpoint indicated they needed to order the part in order for it to be covered. Yup... 3 weeks. When the part arrived, I called to set up the appointment for the install. We pay for the full coverage and despite the scheduling issues everyone complains about, it's still worthwhile. We also pay for the main drain cleaning and our recent experience was HORRIBLE. First they cancelled the appointment and said we'd be handled in the morning. We have backed up sewage and unflushable toilets and they didn't show till after 6pm the next day. Would rate 0 stars if given option. Washing machine quit working 9/27. Got an error message all Sunday. When I called Monday, earliest they could schedule was October 5th, a week out. So original window was supposed to be 8am-noon. After no one showing up or calling, I called at 1:38 and was told they were running behind and my appointment had been pushed back to expect him by 5pm (no one called to tell me this either - I had to call to see what was happening). We have been with this company for years and the service has continuously deteriorated into what it is today. I am mostly concerned with with the Home Service plan part of the business. After years of paying monthly fees I called them to repair my gas grill and they came out and after looking at it said that the parts it needed were not covered under the plan. Called at 8 am on 8/7 to request service on AC that quit working. Earliest appointment available is 8/26. That's almost 2 weeks without AC in the summer.
I had an appointment window of 4 hours and half way through received an automated messsge that no one was coming. Tried to call but it took 30 minutes to get a person and no reason given. Terrible customer service!!!
The AC is finally fixed! Here's what I've learned: It's been just about 3 weeks since we called Home Service Plus to come fix our AC. We have been with them for years. We pay our monthly fees just in case something comes up. This time it did and we wanted help. They weren't able to come out for a week, so we had to go up north since it was over 91 in our house. I've been a Home Service Plus customer for 20+ years now. I have my home, and two rental properties covered under the HSP program. For many years I would say they had given me excellent service, however in the last few years I have noticed service lead times get longer and longer.
