Wow, I have NOT had the experiences of the other reviewers. I've been a customer of the HSP plan for 14 years and every single year I have gotten my money's worth. My dryer alone has had half a dozen visits to keep it running and my washer, oven, range, air conditioner, and now refrigerator have all benefited from service. Was it frustrating during a heat wave in June when my AC went out and scheduling was tough? Yes. Awful customer service by leads. Air conditioner not working since last fall. They then rescheduled 4x and then thought finally fixed but nope. Called them back and they said someone could come out 3 days later said wanted to speak to supervisor. Supervisor never called back. So called them again today, day after and now they are saying can't fix tío Friday, even later. Supervisor didn't care. Ridiculous when pay a monthly fee. Could have had a company out to fix same day. When it's 87 degrees out and not air with a baby.

Absolutely worst company to deal with ever. Rip you off completely. Will never correct any mistakes and take advantage of you every chance they get. They refuse to cancel contracts even after the cancellation date and they charge you for repairs ON TOP OF THE AMOUNTS you have already paid them each month that occur after the cancellation period. Is there a rating lower than no stars? I have had the HSP coverage plan for 13 years. Technicians generally are good but their phone service is the ABSOLUTE WORST. I received two auto pay notices in January a week apart. When I called to straighten this out, it took 48 minutes, SIX different people and lots of annoying music on hold. Just calling to schedule routine maintenance is a challenge and much more difficult than it should be. This has got to be the worst customer service I've experienced. I pay monthly for this service. Set up an appointment 7 days previous. I've been waiting since 12:00 noon. They were too busy so changed my time til 4-7 pm. It is now 8:36 pm and still no show. I've called them 4 times. They need to honor their repair plan or hire more technicians. This is unacceptable.

Long and the short of it, they dont call. I had an issue back in October and hired them to repair an appliance. I am not a monthly subscriber but I know their techs to be outstanding. After calling every month to fix the bill, they continually transferred money from the Gas bill over to the HSP to cover their "fixing" the mistake. Come April, our gas bill was huge. Worst customer service EVER! So frustrated. I rarely have been this pissed. I pay $25 per month on my Centerpoint Energy bill for so-called "service plus". Should be called "lack of service". Without going into details, waited 9 days for appointment to fix air conditioner, they missed the appointment window forcing me to wait nearly 7 hours, had to wait for a part to be overnight express shipped (Sevice man determined we were "old and frail".) called to tell them part arrived and they told me they'd install it next week. Home Service Plus (HSP) - My refrigerator was misdiagnosed 4x and then was told that it is an internal problem and that is not covered. We called the manufacturer and they sent out a repairman who diagnosed it in 5 minutes as a fan (which is covered by HSP), but if they fixed it it would cost $400. Since it was covered under HSP and we have paid into HSP for years without using them, I called HSP back to tell them the situation and that I had the part number.
