Terrible customer service. Two separate appointment months apart (because that was the next available), cancelled by company due to workload. The first one they called ahead and rescheduled an appointment for a time of their choice. One that day, no one showed up or called. Two vacation days lost. When I called customer service and spoke with Curtis he was unable to give me a name of a supervisor I could speak with. He also did not know the name of the head of customer service. No integrity of their appointment timeframes and they have no compassion or care for their customers experiencing emergencies. Woke up to the furnace not working in the morning and called Centerpoint since we have the Home Service Plus. We were given a timeframe of when we called until 11:30 PM the same day we called. We made sure to tell the representative that we have a 2 week old baby with us in the house and was confirmed we’ll be seen the same day. Have had repair services from Home Service Plus in the past and overall have been satisfied. However, clothes dryer broke down today, called to make an appointment for a repair, and the first available appointment is one month away! I have been paying every month for decades and I supposed to wait 28 days before I can dry clothes in my home?! My husband & I have had Home Service Plus for many years. When we signed up for Home Service Plus many years ago NO one from Center Point Energy told us it was a yearly contract. Scheduled a furnace tune-up with Home Service Plus for Sept 23, 2019. Waited patiently from 2 to 8 pm (a wide window compared to many other service providers): nobody showed up, nobody called to say they were not coming. Finally, they called after 9 pm to reschedule, finally got the work done almost two weeks later. Really annoyed that they couldn't find a moment to at least tell us they had canceled our service appointment.

We have had the worst nightmare experience with this company. We were having problems with the dishwasher leaking water on the floor. Called the company about 3x because their waiting line can take longer than 20 minutes to answer with you waiting on the line. I finally was able to get a hold of someone in the company and even though I mentioned water leaks under tiles they did not seem alarmed and said the only day available would be a week later. I had a 9 to 5 appointment window on 10/21/19 for a drain cleaning where I had to use a whole vacation day to wait for the technician and was infuriated when he finally showed up at 6:45 pm. Wait it gets better. After the technician was finished and departed, I noticed a item of my property valued at about $250 was missing. I notified Centerpoint Energy Service Plus immediately about the theft and filed a police report the following day where the police could not offer any help unless I had a video of the theft taking place.... read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, CANCEL IF YOU CURRENTY ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I give their service a 0 Star rating. Paid for the service for the past 5 years, our washing machine broke down, and we placed our first call ever to Service Plus. They showed up a couple days later and diagnosed the problem. Waited a week and a half for the part, scheduled another service call, the part did not fix the problem, another part ordered. Very bad customer service. You pay for service ahead of time. You make appointments and they no show. Make people wait for 8 hours for them to show up. People who schedule cannot answer any questions. Refuse to give you a supervisor when asking for one. Terrible business. This is really a scam as you pay for service if you need it but they do not provide the service. Please do not use them.
