We were very disappointed in the service and food!! This has been my favorite restaurant for ever but I honestly don't know if we will be back!!!
I ordered the New York steak medium rare and received it medium well. They took it back to re-fire. By the time I received, my husband had finished his meal. The second steak was medium at best, but I was hungry so I ate a portion of it. The manager did give us a free dessert, which was nice; however, I didn't enjoy my meal. Even the chicken velvet soup tasted like they scraped it from the bottom of the pan with very little chicken. Very disappointed and won't go back.
My wife and I love to try new restaurants and we love Brus and StoneCreek. We assumed Charbonos would be of equal quality but we were wrong. Our server didn't seem interested in our table and appeared to cater to the table of four behind us. Drink refills were pretty much nonexistent. The calzones were burnt and the steak and shrimp were good, but didn't feel well the next day. They did take the calzones off our bill.
My and I did not appreciate sitting in the barn the stools. We saw two ladies that almost fell off the stools
It would have been nice to know that the restaurant was only serving brunch until 3:00. The area where the food was available was absolute chaos. A lot of food items were out on my initial visit to the brunch bar, and on the second visit some of the food was cold. A few things that were advertised on the menu were nowhere to be found.
Overall experience was just so so. Service was slower than normal, we had a large group and our waiter was trying to serve two large groups that came in at the same time and had trouble keeping up. Not sure it was his fault as he worked hard just not a good idea to give two large groups to one waiter. Food was just Ok not the usual very good, a couple of the orders were not correct and 2 of the steaks were not cooked as ordered. Have ate there many times and have had an enjoyable experience just not this time.
Arrived for Valentine's dinner. We were seated in a small back room at a tiny table right between two large tables full of families with small children. The room was cramped and uncomfortable. We were entirely to close to the other tables and we asked for a different table. They moved us to the bar area to another tiny table right at a glass exit door. It was freezing. We then waited and waited and waited for a server who never came. After 25 minutes we left! No Valentine's dinner for us!
