Ordered the special but waiter brought something completely different from his discription. No effort to correct problem or reduce bill. Dining area very noisy. Booth table bigger than average making hearing my wife difficult because of the noise. Too many other places to choose if good conversation is important.
I must say that the Prime Rib I had was delicious. However, the vegetables with it were bland and rubbery. Normally the food is top notch, but this time it was not. My wife's skirt steak salad was soupy with too much dressing. We have been there several times and have always noted that the service is lacking. Everything good but sitting of large group near. When we arrived for our 5:30 reservation it wasn't that busy. They left a table between us & another group already there. It soon became very busy. They proceeded to add a table for a larger group as there probably weren't enough tables to move together. It was one of those long white folding tables. Unfortunately, I will not be back to this establishment. 40 minutes to get a bottle of wine, our salads came out before we had our first glass of wine. Scallops were not bad and the Terryaki glaze was good but the potatoes were bland (tasted like instant but I was assured the were real). Waitress, not so great. Not impressed with the portion size either. Four scallops, caesar salad, and "potatoes" equal more than $20.00. Overall, just one disappointment after another...
Oops! I go to Charbono's frequently, love the people and the food, so I just hated giving the food and overall rating unfavorable reviews. However, this trip was not a good one. I believe the fish in the dish I ordered was either bad or under-cooked. Lots of problems for the next few hours. I immediately called the restaurant to report it so they would not serve it to someone else, and they apologized and wanted my address to compensate me. Bad experience, but these things can happen.
