Will not be back again Went for my first time by recommendation from friends and was sadly disappointed. Most notable thing was the food. It was far from what I expected. My husband ordered the braised pork shoulder that didn't mention anything about it being pulled pork. So expecting a whole piece of meat he instead got a wet flavorless pile of soggy pork. The rest of the good was moderate at best not hardly worth the price and the menu bared striking resemblance to stone creek. Definitely will not be back again.
DisappointedI We probably go to Charbonos 2-3 times a year. The last 2 times I have been, I must say that I have been disappointed with the quality of the dish we have come to love. My husband and I both ordered the Linguini Charbono which has been our favorite dish on the menu for a couple of years. The last two times we have ordered the dish, the sauce has been so runny that it doesn't stick to the pasta at all. Char bongos The sound level was very high, food was mediocre, wait staff is pleasant but poorly trained.
Pricing Doesn't Equal Quality Ordered a ribeye & received an expensive piece of somewhat dry, tasteless meat.
Anniversary dinner We were sat at a table in the bar which was very busy and very loud!! I couldn't tell you how many times someone's butt was right next to the table. We were there celebrating our wedding anniversary and it was not romantic at all. Food and service were great but atmosphere was awful!
We regularly eat at this restaurant but this time the table we were sitting at was dirty, the service was extremely slow, the food was sub-par. We asked to speak to the manager and she didn't seem to care. The overall experience was disappointing for this type of restaurant. We go to Charbonos once a week but won't go back until things improve.
Not that great anymore. We moved to Avon a few months ago an this was a great place the first time. We have been there a few Times an it has not been close to the first time we first ate there. We much rather travel to the norther side of Indy for better food. Carbonos has lost its dining appeal to us.
Reservations did not do much Reservations did not do much good - was 35 minutes late getting a table. It was V-Day, and we set beside a group of 12 and half were under 8 years old. Not the atmosphere that we were looking for. Food was okay, service okay -
My Ahi Tuna was stale and My Ahi Tuna was stale and dry. The waiter was inattentive and did not check back for needs, especially coffee and water.
