We moved to Avon a few months ago an this was a great place the first time. We have been there a few Times an it has not been close to the first time we first ate there. We much rather travel to the norther side of Indy for better food. Carbonos has lost its dining appeal to us.
We had a horrible experience with Charbobos. We made reservations and didn't get seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time. The food did not come out as we ordered it, the service was poor and the female manager working the shift was rude and beyond helpful. In fact, she was talking about our table in ear shot and making rude gestures in front of us. We will not be back!
I have long been a fan of Charbono's and their sister resturants. However, their service has been on a steady decline! Reserved 8 for my wife's 30th birthday, but ended up at 6 ppl.1. Food is great! Probably one of the best in the area.2. Service is terrible for the caliber of resturant and price. a. Had to request waters for the table 3 times b. We've been to Charbonos thousands of times and usually have a pleasant experience. However, this last visit was a total disappointment. The soup had to be returned, my meal was subpar and the atmosphere was chaotic. I had higher expectations for my Christmas Eve dinner.
Deserts could use a little help. not the best selection. That is the only complaint that I have about this place.
Food was lukewarm at its best. Server was unattentive. Very slow service overall. Would not go back. Sad to say since we were celebrating our anniversary.
I REALLY don't like your categories for Noise. We wanted quiet, would have settled for moderate, but "energetic" is not what we got--it was noisy. The music was especially annoying. My Tilapia was excellent. My husband's steak also, but he didn't like the salad dressing and said the baked potato was dry. Had to wait for bread, but service was attentive. Husband was annoyed that they took away my plate before he was finished dining--thought it was rude and put pressure on him to hurry up and finish.
My Ahi Tuna was stale and dry. The waiter was inattentive and did not check back for needs, especially coffee and water.
I was so disappointed! I took my Mother there for Mother's Day and was prepared for the buffet, but did not realize other menu options were not available. The food on the buffet was luke warm and bland. In most cases the dishes were empty and slowly replenished. Nothing was marked so you had to guess in some cases what the dish was supposed to be.
