Outstanding service. We've had 2 surgeries and now weeks of physical therapy! Dr. Seibert is an amazing surgeon. From day 1 she explained everything in full detail and made us feel comfortable about putting our dog through a major surgery. We've returned for sessions of physical therapy with Katie, and our dog loves it! We even had a nice tour of the physical therapy department before we started. Overall amazing care from everyone at the front desk, the vet technicians, and veterinarians!

We had to say goodbye to our first fur baby, Baxter yesterday. It was an absolutely heart wrenching decision for us, and we were so grateful for the compassion that all the staff showed us here. The lights were dim, there were tissues and our boy got to be comfortable on a quilt instead of in a bright room on a cold exam table. Thank you for making it a little less traumatic.

This 24hr ER was recommended to me by my vet. I called before I went because I wasn't sure if my pup's symptoms justified a trip to the ER. I explained that I was a new pet owner & expressed the concerns I had with my pup. The person on the phone told me to bring her in b/c there was a chance that her symptoms would get worse. The facility is about 30 mins from my home & it's tucked away behind a Zaxby's. The reception area was very clean & didn't smell like "dog". There's a good selection of magazines & a coffee station wit... read more

Excellent care! I have found everyone to be attentive and smart, and they care about the animals. I keep going back because of the quality of care, which is second to none. If you can afford it I recommend this place above all others!

The entire staff was over the top friendly to both myself and my fur children. They were very heartfelt and thorough when explaining medicines and procedures. My pup vomited several times while in the exam room and they did not complain once about it. They reassured me it was perfectly fine and allowed my dog to give them all puke breath kisses...it was cuter than it sounds. At one point he puked on my other pup (who was just along for the ride) and the nurses took her back and gave her a bath for me free of charge! I ... read more

Three weeks ago my 12 year old dog, Carmen, was severely injured by another dog. I knew she would not be able to recover from them and was in tremendous pain so I took her to CVR. Sadly, she had to be put to sleep. The compassion Carmen and I both received from Dr. Torres and the entire staff was unbelievable. They made a horrible day more manageable. Today I received a package in the mail. They sent me a card that everyone signed along with an imprint of Carmen's paw. I was blown away by the touching gift. It's like they ga... read more

I did animal rescue for years, and have been to countless veterinary clinics. By this time, I know quality and results when I see it. The Charleston Veterinary Referral Center is absolutely top notch. I took my best buddy, Pebbles, there for diagnosis of a neurological problem and he subsequently had spinal surgery. Of course, this is not an inexpensive exercise, nor did I expect it to be. However, this dog is very, very special to me and I wanted the best for him. And boy, did I get it. Absolutely superb veterinarians and s... read more

Thank goodness for this place! We lost our sweet 19 year old boy late 2016. Found CVRC in the middle of the night when things took a horrible turn. They were attentive and kind. They made an awful night and a horrid decision less traumatic. End of life for our fur babies sucks and this establishment understands. We weren't rushed or put in a clinical bright room like many places. It felt homey and our precious dog took his last breath in a comfy room with us and a loving doctor. They followed up afterward with a note and sm... read more

Extremely fast, compassionate care for our Chihuahua. From out of town so literally found via yelp - but I'm glad we did. Wish we had somewhere as good at home for emergency vet care!
