Get directionsWithout a doubt the best clinic when you are in need of true professionals. My dog was misdiagnosed by her old vet and would have passed away if I didn't take matters into my own hands and take her to see Dr. Risetto, the Oncologist at CVRC right after I left his office after he did the biopsy as he wanted me to wait 4 days for the biopsy results. She hadn't eaten a thing for 10 DAYS and Dr. Risetto gave her a chemo treatment that day and SHE SAVED HER LIFE!!! She didn't have 4 days left to wait for the results. Alth... read more
My dog was referred here for respiratory issues. I was extremely impressed with the experience. The hospital is immaculately clean and clearly well-organized. Dr. Bostrom was thorough, quick, and kept in contact with me to see how my dog was doing after testing and treatment. She also did everything she could to help me keep treatment and medication costs down. I kind of wish she was my "people doctor". My dog's health is much improved.
It's a bad day for your pet if you have to go to this hospital, but that has nothing to do with the quality of care. I was referred here for my dog's heart condition. Over several months of treatment, her condition worsened -- as I had been prepared to expect. Throughout, I found the staff consistently available, informed, intelligent, and supportive. During some periods I was in nearly constant communication with the vet tech Michelle, and I could not have hoped for a more dedicated, informed and intelligent professional... read more
My daughter and I took our 12.5 yo English Lab in as he could not stand and had not eaten for three days. We were kept waiting over 10 hrs bc they said our guy was not a critical patient. After our persistence, they finally took a routine blood test and found our guy had cancer. We were faced with a significant bill. They were understaffed; the vet used language we could not comprehend. We left with no answers. We had to euthanize our sweet boy at our home the next day; another big bill. We still have unanswered ques... read more
Disappointed with thevet who recommended putting our dog down and was not interested in even trying to save him. He was nearly 16 but still had a good life. I will always be frustrated that this vet had already made up her mind that he could not survive. They seem focused on euthanasia versus trying to save him. Will never recommend! And did I mention that it took two weeks to refund the unused part of the thousands of dollars deposit I had to put down before they would even see my dog. Shameful! Too bad there is not a 0 rat... read more
First of all I have to thank the team there for taking care of my baby boy. My dog jumped out of a window and broke his elbow. He has severe separation anxiety and figured that the fastest way to get to me was out the window. Lo and behold he could not fly. We rushed him to the vet, which was this one in Charleston. We are from North Carolina so we are not familiar with this Vet. They did heavily sedate him and take x-rays. They helped him remain calm and took good care of him. However, when I was able to talk to a veterinar... read more
I have been trying to make an appointment with the oncology department for a few days. I have called multiple times which always goes to voicemail and left several messages. I spoke to the operator after never being able to get a hold of someone in oncology and was told Jesse from oncology would call me back. I have yet to receive a call back. When I have brought my dog in, they do a good job but the appointment department needs work.
Do not bring any animal here. We brought our dog Ditka here because his usual vet was closed. Ditka had a tumor that burst that we did not know existed. Up until he collapsed he was always full of life and just acted like a puppy. The staff came off kind and compassionate. I begged them to tell us if there was a way to save him where he would have very little suffering and have him recover and if not to please tell us so that we can put him down with little suffering. They said that he would be able to survive if he had surg... read more
I absolutely do not recommend this place. They are not considerate whatsoever with your time or money. I brought my cat in recently around 5pm and was told by them that she would need surgery. They told me it would be $6,400. I look at the itemized receipt, $45 to throw away her trash, $48 for ice, ridiculously overcharging me and trying to rush me to get her back there. She had an infection so I asked them if she could just be put on antibiotics & fluids for now and see how she does. Funny, they were being so persistent on ... read more
