After coming here and experiencing the wonderful staff and vets, I will no longer be taking my dogs to their current vet office. They have everything you need and would expect when you're forced to face an emergency situation with your child (pet?). They have a keurig, free wifi, free phone chargers, water, and of course, TV. Their staff is amazing and so kind. They are all so thoughtful and patient and caring and I can't say enough about them. It's so refreshing especially coming from W Ash Vets, who are nothing but rude an... read more

I highly recommend this center. I have brought 4 dogs to this team of skilled veterinarians and each time our pups went in ill and came out in tip top shape. The place is very clean and the most professional vet I have ever seen. I especially like that everyone there genuinely cares for the animals and will go everything necessary to ensure excellent medical care of your pup. On July 12th I brought my rescue pup Ozzy there in poor condition and he left there a new happy and healthy pup. :) Dr. Torres and Dr. Welch were his ... read more

I cannot say enough good things about Oncologist, Dr. Kerry Rissetto, and her assistant, Suzanne. My dobie, Dutch, was diagnosed with lymphoma. He was seen by Dr. Rissetto 1 to 2 times a week for 3 months. She was completely upfront about the process, truly cared about him, and easily accessible (even on a Saturday evening). When none of the chemo treatments could prevent the cancer, they came to my home to euthanize. He was comfortable (in his surroundings and with the people he knew) and in his own bed when he passed... read more

Long story short CVRC and Dr. King saved my 5.5 year old Boykin Spaniel's life. He was experiencing paralysis of his hind legs and our regular vet was unable to diagnose the problem. After performing a spinal tap he was diagnosed with e-coli. Dr. King and the CVRC staff were amazing. Our dog had to spend several nights there and they were so accommodating. We came to visit him every day, sometimes twice a day, and they never minded. They fully understood that our dog is a member of the family. Dr. King was also aware of the ... read more

Without a doubt the best clinic when you are in need of true professionals. My dog was misdiagnosed by her old vet and would have passed away if I didn't take matters into my own hands and take her to see Dr. Risetto, the Oncologist at CVRC right after I left his office after he did the biopsy as he wanted me to wait 4 days for the biopsy results. She hadn't eaten a thing for 10 DAYS and Dr. Risetto gave her a chemo treatment that day and SHE SAVED HER LIFE!!! She didn't have 4 days left to wait for the results. Alth... read more

My dog was referred here for respiratory issues. I was extremely impressed with the experience. The hospital is immaculately clean and clearly well-organized. Dr. Bostrom was thorough, quick, and kept in contact with me to see how my dog was doing after testing and treatment. She also did everything she could to help me keep treatment and medication costs down. I kind of wish she was my "people doctor". My dog's health is much improved.

It's a bad day for your pet if you have to go to this hospital, but that has nothing to do with the quality of care. I was referred here for my dog's heart condition. Over several months of treatment, her condition worsened -- as I had been prepared to expect. Throughout, I found the staff consistently available, informed, intelligent, and supportive. During some periods I was in nearly constant communication with the vet tech Michelle, and I could not have hoped for a more dedicated, informed and intelligent professional... read more

Spent more than $800 and 5 hours for a cat visit because he was throwing up. This office seems very helpful over the phone and the doctor seemed really knowledgeable and friendly. That's where the positive part ended. Three days later, I went to my regular vet that prescribed more prednisolone. They didn't have it at the time so I called Charleston Veterinary Referral Center who said they could refill 5-10 prednisone to pick up the next day so that I had enough to treat my cat until my regular veterinarian had more to provi... read more

My daughter and I took our 12.5 yo English Lab in as he could not stand and had not eaten for three days. We were kept waiting over 10 hrs bc they said our guy was not a critical patient. After our persistence, they finally took a routine blood test and found our guy had cancer. We were faced with a significant bill. They were understaffed; the vet used language we could not comprehend. We left with no answers. We had to euthanize our sweet boy at our home the next day; another big bill. We still have unanswered ques... read more
