Get directionsMy dog has a rare problem which i sadly, either mast cell carcinoma OR lacrimal gland cyst. This is he 4th vet ceter I've taken her to for diagnosis. The other vets were good but only one did a biopsy which was inconclusive--twice. Charleston Verterinary Referral Center has equipment and facilities to do an x-ray and then follow up care.
I really appreciated how quickly CVRC was able to work in my pup, Chipper. During my introduction with Karrie, I felt like she did a great job explaining to me the process of the initial visit and what I could expect. Once the first session was over, Karrie came out to discuss the results and talk through her recommended treatment plan for my dog. She answered all of my questions and I feel like she really listened to my concerns without ever making me feel rushed. I love that I got a video of Chipper doing the exercises sin... read more
I've been bringing my own dogs and dogs from rescue to CVRC for 10 years. Dr. Rissetto - oncologist - is the BEST! Dr. Rissetto is so good about communicating - she texted late last night to let us know lab results.
My overall experience was so amazing! Every staff member including the doctor was so attentive to my dog and made us feel so comfortable. We hardly had to wait and were able to check in on the phone ahead of time. I wish they provided normal vet services, that's how much I loved them! Providing my dog and I with a reasonable care plan.

Thank you for sharing, Gigi. We appreciate you very much.

He was stumbling, breathing heavily, his body went limp, whining, tongue out the side of his mouth, and couldn't keep his eyes open; I was an absolute wreck, to sa... read more

Excellent staff and doctors. Highly recommend them. Our dog was terminally ill. They also told us about Dr. Hillary Evans and her Dignity Bridge. She was wonderful
Very efficient and animal-friendly center. They treat their patients with care and love. They did surgery on my puppy and were very thorough in explaining care and treatment at home. Sent my baby home quickly with all necessary repairs.
