"I can see clearly now..." I was singing Johnny Nash all the way home after surgery. It was amazing. But seriously, this place is incredible. Professional. Nice. Thorough. And every staff member goes out of their way to make sure you're happy and feeling confident. Christine sealed the deal. She's essential to this office. I have been a cosmetic surgical patient of Dr. Eviatar's for years and keep coming back every season for facial skin 'upkeep'. His office runs smoothly with warm and knowledgeable staff. I've been considering lasik for a while, and 4 friends of mine went to Chelsea Eye before I did and had great results. So I finally went in for my first appointment to see if I was a good candidate (i have an eye "disease" that I've had since childhood). I can't speak to all the services reviewed here, but I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Coad and Christine for my LASIK corrective surgery. I had the procedure done in April 2012. Prior to LASIK my vision had been 20/400; the next day my vision was 20/20 in the eye with the higher prescription, and 20/15 in the other eye. I did not experience any of the typical side effects (excessive dryness, difficulty with night vision, etc.), but both of my eyes were incredibly red for almost two weeks following the procedure. I had a very successful Blepharoplasty with Dr Eviatar - EXCELLENT care and EXCELLENT results. The staff is caring and attentive. I returned for Radiesse and Juvaderm filler injections. His technique is superior to others I have been treated by and the results VERY SUPERIOR as well. He is remarkabley well trained and is a teacher for these techniques as well. I have refered a number of very picky friends to him and they are all very satisfied !

Reviews seem to fluctuate drastically, which is why I thought I'd weigh in. Maybe my experience wasn't normal, but it was quite nice. I came in for an eye exam, which I hadn't had in years. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful, and I didn't wait too long. My only complaint is that I had to sign the receipt after my eyes were dilated and I couldn't even see what I was doing. I can't speak to other reviewers experiences with Dr. Eviatar, but I can relate my own. I saw him years ago after a personal tragedy left me gaunt and sad looking. People would stop me on the street and asked me what was wrong. I felt very vulnerable. He truthfully turned the sallow look to one of a healthy and happ(ier) person. I have been a patient since 2006. I first went for LASIK, and have since gone back for cosmetic procedures. I decided to go to Chelsea Eye Associates for LASIK in 2006 after hearing recommendations from my colleague and her husband. Dr. Coad did a great job with my LASIK. My vision was awful before the surgery (-4.75) and was perfect after the surgery. The LASIK process seems scary, but Dr. Coad and team made the process surprisingly relaxing. I have been a patient since I was 16, now at 28 I still come to NY for a visit to get my eyes examined. It has certainly changed since I started ( with an expanded practice, new Dr.'s, and updated facility ) Dr Coad is a brilliant guy who really loves the field of work he's in and extends his high end Chelsea practice to pro bono work and Dr's without borders.
