My lady wanted to go to the chocolate restaurant for a while so decided to take her for Valentine's day. She truly enjoyed herself. The food was excellent and the service excellent too. We plan on going back with friends next time.
We enjoyed our Monday brunch at Chocolat. They serve brunch on Mondays for every holiday that is government mandated. The space is nice, open wide and you have elbow room. The service started out a little slow at the hostess stand and after seating, but improved after I flagged down a waitress for tea. We had yummy shrimp and grits (the grits did have a little skin on top), but overall good. Perhaps a little more flavor in the gravy would have enhanced it. This place is hip and energetic. The food was great. The music was on point! The red relvet cheescake was to die for. I also like that its open a little later and you can order food up til 1am. I am definitely coming back for brunch!
I took my sister here for brunch on 1/17/15. Service, atmosphere and food was great. I love that this place is kid friendly, grown up approved and in a great location.
The atmosphere and excellent food make Harlem's very own Chocolat a must eat a venue. However, there is a need to address some of their shortcoming so they can take the restaurant higher! Wait times and turnaround is extremely delayed frequently. The waiters and bar take a long time to give drinks food takes a very long time to come out even for the most basic items on the menu. It was my daughter's 17th birthday and she wanted to come here. She absolutely love this place, and I wanted her to be happy!!! We had a great time and our server(can't remember her name) was very nice and had a lovely accent!!!
Great spot , however our wonder waitress Sabrina informed us that many items were 86...but gave us great alternatives !
An excellent establishment in the heart of West Harlem. A beautiful place with incredible ambiance & elegant décor. We had a great server who was kind, gracious and respectable. Appetizers were brought out right away, there was a bit of a wait for the main course, but when I tasted my grilled lamb chops with spinach and mashed potatoes, mmmmh!! DELICIOUS! I would definitely come back here!! A+++
The food, the ambiance and our waiter were all fabulous. It was a wonderful date night in an awesome setting.
