Nice trendy Harlem gem with excellent service.. The food could be better
Visited Chocolat for Sunday brunch, with my two young girls and friends. The menu features some different choices for brunch, so we were pleased about that change. The free refill mimosas at 12$ are worth of their price: they keep refilling without hesitation! Their red velvet pancakes with southern fried chicken should be tried: tasty and sized enough for good appetite. Overall, a pleasant experience to be repeated when going to Harlem again.
I had made reservations for two friends and myself so seating wasn't so much of a wait. When we sat down there wasn't any water or complimentary bread on the table but the waitress was quick enough to grab our orders. Drinks were strong and the food was delish!! Only problem was, we would hold conversations in between the dinner and about three different waiters came up to us asking to remove the plates. At this point we felt like we were being rushed. Delicious food! Great mimosas! the tables outside are kind of unstable but besides for that everything was great! definitely coming back for those red velvet pancakes
i have been to Chocolat several times and I have always enjoyed my dining experience. The food is great, love the ambiance and decor and the music is fantastic.
I ordered the turkey burger & to add cheese it was an extra $3 WOW! It was well seasoned almost too much salt though. Met up with my elementary school classmates. We had a blast. Everyone is so friendly. The GM treated us to drinks because of overbooking & yes that did accommodate us to the fullest! We will be back in the near future!!
You get what you pay for... The food is great - nice scene The drinks are made well
I vwent Chocolat for brunch while in town traveling from Boston, Ma. My husband and I had a wonderful time. The service was great and the food was even better. The Shrimp and grits were the best I've ever had. What a great and conveniently located neighborhood gem!
I have been to Chocolat a few times before and besides the one time our reservation was not honored because the restaurant was so crowded (during Sunday brunch hours) I've had a pleasant experience all other times. In fact, I have decided to celebrate my upcoming birthday at Chocolat. The food is really good and the servers are usually very nice and accommodating.
