I am a Realtor and my daughter purchased a Choice Warranty on my recommendation. The experience has been horrible. They sent someone to her home as she was having a problem with her furnace. They told her she needed a new furnace. When the contractor that they recommended came to her home to install he made a hole in the air conditioning coil and water is leaking everywhere. They told her that they were not responsible as it was the installer's responsibility. The installer is no longer in business and they told her they cou... read more

I will NOT be renewing our policy! This company is a straight up scam. They will make any excuse not to cover your claim items and their customer service is absolutely terrible. I called multiple times and asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and every time they would transfer me to the same # and hang up. I am in disbelief that they would want me to recommend them to my clients purchasing a home when they can't even do what I pay for as a current customer of theirs. Terrible company. Choice finds some way not to cover what your issue is. They partner with companies that complete patch jobs. They do not look to solve or complete the problem. Theyre here to only patch problems up while taking your money every month. Terrible service. I cant make out what the reps are saying in customer service. Just a terrible terrible company to go with. America Home shield ??? is highly recommended.

TERRRIBLE HORRIBLE DONT USE!I filed a claim on 6/1 for an my A/C which was not working and leaking. Any homeowner who has had central air knows that this means there is an issue with the evaporator coil (been there, done this before). I already had the A/C annual service scheduled, and when the no-name, can't find business or contractor's license company from CHW said they couldnt come out until 6/10 as we were too far away, CHW said it was okay to use my tech. Central air stopped working and it's currently 110 degrees out and was told it would take over 2 weeks for a technician to come and look at my ac. I told them my husband is currently in the hospital and on oxygen and can't come home until the ac is fixed. I've tried speaking to a supervisor and was told none is available. All communication is done through emails or speaking to a foreigner who you have a difficult time understanding. Once I shop for a new home warranty company, I'm leaving choice home warranty. I only give one star because I do not see an option for a NEGATIVE star rating. This is the WORST home warranty company!! Do NOT contract with them. They only want to collect premiums and not pay out claims. My central air conditioner has been broken for over a month. They have assigned it to 3 different vendors. One did the diagnosis and found a big coolant leak from the evaporative coil. Choice then said that company "did not have the correct equipment" to do the repair!!! I filed a claim on June 2nd 2024 about my pilot light not staying lit and when they finally sent someone out I was told that they would be back in a couple of days to change out the couple. When they came back out to do so I was told I needed a new water heater. A few hours later I received an email stating that CHW was not going to pay for it because it wasnt considered normal wear and tear. On June 3 2024 an air conditioning company was dispatched to my home to check thermostat on my unit. The technician determined it was the thermostat and called for approval. Upon trying to install the new thermostat he realized it was not working and then went into attic and tried to rewire to make thermostat work. The technician came out of attic to state he could not fix it and said he was sorry. ( leaving me with a broken system.). Choice warranty has lied to me regarding coverage. The agent told me that refrigerator and dishwasher can be covered under 1 payment, after signing up I find out this wasnt the case. Why do the agents lie, its so awful especially when the point of gathering information is to make the best decision for your money. It seems the name of the game is to say what they want to get your business. Bad business tactics.
