Do NOT consider Coastal Moving Services for your move. Extremely poor customer service and is dishonest/shady about costs. I got quote estimates for my cross country move from over a dozen moving companies and went with Coastal because they provided the cheapest estimate. I was moving a 10x10x10 storage unit (1000cu ft max) from MD to **. ***** ******* gave me the final estimated quote of 350cu ft for $3900. I had a bad experience with this business. They are essentially a third party that talks to a moving company instead of you. Basically, they take a bunch of money from you to call someone else to move your stuff. They lied to me about the time it would take to move, they waaaaaay undersold the quote for moving to get me scheduled and get my down payment. They did not contact me once for updates, delays, issues, etc. My moving truck was "missing" for two weeks and I got 0 calls, I had to do all the calling to get any informat... read more

Robbers through and through. Combative when I cancelled their service. Called us and called us liars for our reason for cancelling. The most unbelievable negative experience I've ever had with a business. Charged are credit card 2 days after we cancelled and we cancelled within 20 minutes of our negotiations. Remember the old saying "if it's to good to be true your getting screwed". And they are trying their hardest to s**** us and take our money. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM COASTAL MOVING SERVICES First time trying to use a moving company and probably will be the last. After having received my downpayment of $1,200. The Company had supposed to have scheduled and was to provide moving van and crew on date agreed upon, which was a Saturday, but did not appear for the move and no phone call was made to notify me of any changes. DO NOT USE Coastal Moving Services LLC. They do not deliver on the sales agreement signed. They will work with you as a broker option to get sales, and say they are going to respond throughout the process. As soon as the agreement is outlined and signed, the following will occur from my experience.1. In reality this company deserves negative 5 stars. It has been an absolute nightmare to deal with them. They get you in a situation where it is too late to hire someone else and then more than double your quoted price. They showed up a day early gave us a window of 11 to 4 but did not show up until 6pm. The truck they brought was too small so they went to unload it and come back. This business is a scam and just lies all the way to get your business.They told me my stuff would be delivered for 2000 then came and packed everything the least efficient way they could and increased the price to 6000 by the time they were done for a 1 bed apartment. Arrived 3 hours late to the storage fscility. Left a bunch of our stuff in the storage shed because "there wasn't enough room" even though a different moving company managed to move it all *into* thr storage shed in one load. On the spot upcharging for items they considered "bulky". They did not arrive at our new house until after midnight, and spent the next 3 hours moving stuff in, keeping our new neighbors up with the house.
