This place is AWFUL! I took in my puppy that I had just purchased earlier that evening bc she was having seizures. At 2 in the morning, I woke up to her crying & laying in a huge pile of her feces with A TON of blood mixed in it. Due to the hour, I rushed her here & was told that it was bc her blood sugar was low bc she was a very tiny puppy. I thought that seemed sketchy, they sent me home with caro syrup & told me to rub it on her gums every 2 hours until I could get her into her vet that had a free check-up ( from where I... read more
If you care about your pet, please do NOT ever take them here to receive "care." After four visits over 12 days, I spent over $400 for the vet to keep guessing at my dog's problem. The CPH vet said she "got a good look" at my dog's eye and was sure there wasn't anything in it, although it was red, swollen and pus-filled. After the last visit, instead of recommending a specialist, the vet at CPH said it must be allergies! Allergies in only one eye? When I called back to refute this diagnosis (which was left on my voicema... read more
I have been going here for awhile now. Mainly because of the 24hr service. 1st bad experience was with my one dog during a routine check up I asked why she was getting so bloated they responded with her diet was the problem, 2 months later I had to put her down for cancer.... 2nd bad experience was my dog hurt her leg while playing. I figured it was a pulled muscle or something of that sort, vet tried to get me to do a $3000 surgery because they thought she tore her tendons. I said let's give it a few days and see if it is w... read more
This is the second time I have been to this facility, and the way they issue you your billing is ridiculous. They give you an estimate with a low price and high price. Why? Exactly why would that be when we are right in the facility that is doing the services? We own a plumbing and heating company and if we gave estimates this way we would be out of business in about five minutes. They gave me the low figure of 298. And the high price of 346., 15 minutes later the bill was 395! When I question the pricing, they offered to... read more
I have always been pleased with the service and care at this clinic until I actually had to utilize their 24 hour emergency. I have 3 kiddos and unfortunately our pantry was left open for our pup to explore. Unfortunately, she got into a bag of chocolate chips from the seasons baking extravaganza. When I caught her the entire bag was pretty much gone... And it was 1:30 in the morning. I immediately placed a call and was told I must bring her in. I was at the clinic in 20 minutes. They were expecting me and took her back pret... read more
Please trust my heartfelt review when I share with you that if you are in need of a Veterinarian for your furry best friend DO NOT take them to Community Pet Hospital. They only care about billable hours. They stick you in a room and leave you for almost an hour even with an appointment. I received a quote for a surgery for $750.00 and once the surgery was under way, I received two phone calls from Dr. Quigley stating that "oh, we found a couple other things we should take care while "Maggie" is out". Total $1,476.00 and... read more
Odd...their "Specialties" section states that the treat a wide variety of animals including reptiles, birds and exotics. I call with a concern about my rabbit and they don't treat rabbits. Any respectable 24/7 Animal Hospital should be able to at least assess basic care of an animal in distress. Disappointed.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Took my dog here on a Sunday after he had a bloody nose and trouble breathing. They never once looked in his nose or down his throat.. Instead pressured us to do multiple tests to check his heart which is not why we took him there. EKG and blood tests ... Over $400 later we still had no answers. They misspelled my name and never called to check on him to see how he was doing as they said they would. I regret taking him there!! Nothing they did helped him at all. :(
Three years ago, your vet, Dr. Breon, misdiagnosed Booker as having abdominal cancer, and we were moments away from euthanizing him based on Dr. Breon's diagnosis and prognosis. Thank God I trusted my instincts and said, "This isn't right...it doesn't make sense" and took him for a second opinion, where he was correctly diagnosed as having a viral infection--a simple tummy bug. He lived two more happy, healthy, loved years until it was his time to go at age 19. I cannot express how livid I was at the time, knowing that your... read more
