I had a bad experience at this place many years ago but I thought I would give it another try because they estimated a couple hundred dollars cheaper than Caring Hands after my dog cut his paw and needed stitches. Right now because of COVID 19, customers call when they get there and the vet comes out to the car. So I never got to see the stitches or anything. Our dog pulled the bandage off one morning and we watched him constantly until we brought him in within a few hours to the next available appt. They said it was inf... read more
OMG! I have been a long time customer here and have had a few issues before; however, today takes the cake. I brought in my sick dog for an ER visit and as usual, the first thing they do is take your credit card for the ER visit that cost $92. This is their standard procedure, it's happened to me before and while sitting waiting I can hear them tell everyone who calls that it's going to cost $92 for an ER visit. No problem whatever. After waiting two hours to see the vet, we check out and get charged the $92 AGAIN!! Of ... read more
I was told to schedule an appointment for a vaccine that my dog had already received. The technicians don't seem to know how to open the right files. They do not properly communicate information to their Clients.
Business response:
Alex, we greatly appreciate you taking the time to speak with our head technician yesterday and for allowing us to address your concerns. If you feel this issue was not adequately addressed please let us know and a manager will further discuss it with you. We understand your frustration and will use this feedback to work hard to improve the service we provide our clients and their pets.
Took our puppy in for a follow up vaccine visit. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 1pm appointment and wasn't taking back for 30 minutes. The technician wasn't reading the right file and my dog was almost over vaccinated. I reached out to solve this problem and was told "sorry they had poor communication". Welp I really hope they don't have poor communication skills in the operating room. It pretty sad when I interact with three people including a doctor, and they cannot convey a messages to their clients. I will be tran... read more

We are very sorry to hear you had a negative experience with us. We make every effort to see clients in a timely manner; we had an emergency come in at that time which unfortunately resulted in a delay for your appointment. I believe you spoke to our head technician to resolve the misunderstanding on vaccines and; you pet was not at risk of being over vaccinated and we certainly will take this feedback to improve how this was discussed with you. If you feel this issue needs to be discussed further please ask to speak to a ma... read more
Without an appointment it automatically cost you $90 to bring your dog or cat here. Even with an appointment there still a 30 to 45 minute wait. I brought my dogs here for a while until I figured out that there were other places that worked harder to be amazing to my animals. The Staff is nice but tends to get frustrated when there is more than 1 animal there.
The service from Community Pet Hospital has been poor over this last year. Ultra sound records will incorrectly sent to the Fort Collins Veterinary teaching hospital, discharge records got interchanged with another dog, so what was sent home with us was for the incorrect dog, When our dog was so sick we need to euthanize our beloved dog a brief explanation was given by the vet. When we had additional questions and need confirmation, both that evening and the next morning, the only one available was the receptionist and a te... read more
I use to really like this vet but I took my cat in recently to get her kidneys rechecked since she is in early stages of kidney disease and has lost a lot of weight recently. I took her in they did a check up and took blood work and told me they would call me in a few days. 3 days passed so I called them to find out what the blood work said only to find out the test results are in but Dr isnt and won't be back or even calling until a full WEEK after the appointment. Well a week has passed and I still haven't heard anything a... read more

Hi Lindsey - would you mind calling us so that we can address this issue ASAP? This is absolutely not our standard practice and can completely understand your frustration. I would like to be able to look into it, as well as ensure your cat is taken care of. I am unable to look you up based on your account name; please call 303-451-1333.
Horrible place to take a sick animal. Our puppy had megasophagus, he suddenly fell very ill. He was throwing up blood all day. I took him in because I knew he wasn't gonna make it. He threw up blood all over the exam room in front of the Dr They wanted to do blood work and xrays. I didn't feel that would change anything. He needed to be put down. Since I didn't want to pay $600 for tests, they sent us home. Within an hour and a half of being home, he passed away in my daughter's lap. It was so hard on my girls. The vet ... read more
Business response:
Meriah, we are so very sorry to hear of your loss. There was definitely miscommunication regarding your puppy's care - our doctor did not intend for you to take your pet home; she felt he was very critical and was directing you to go to a lower cost clinic to pursue care that was within your budget. I'm so sorry that wasn't clearly communicated with you. Our team did not get the impression that you were even considering euthanasia, and I do apologize that we there was a misunderstanding on what your wishes were. We would app... read more
This is the worst place to take your pet. They don't care about your pet, the only thing they care about is your money. I took my cat there because he had a blockage and they sent him home the next day and he was lethargic and worse than when I took him in. So I had to take him back in and they charged me more money after they should have never sent home home in the first place. After this whole order I ended up paying close to $2000. When this blockage happened again I took him to planned Pethood which had much better servi... read more

We are sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience with us. Urinary blockages are often very challenging medical cases and as such, can be expensive. We would love the opportunity to discuss your cat's case directly to see what we could have done differently. Please call and ask to speak to a manager about this at (303) 451-1333.
