Good customer service and good communications. I recommend them. my two cats have been well taken care of. The staff is always so friendly.
Best vet clinic ever!! All of my cats have been well taken care of. The whole staff is always so friendly. For the most part they all recognize my cats when I bring them in and this makes me immediately feel at ease with their care.
This vet really helped my friend and I out during a pinch! The only -1 star is because we had called earlier in the day and were on hold for about thirty minutes before we hung up and called someone else. My roommates and I rescued a stray cat that was living behind the apartment building next to ours. We caught her the other night and kept her overnight before bringing her into the vet hospital the next day because Companion is (thankfully) a walk-in clinic. The staff was clearly a little strung out, but they were still ab... read more
Been going here for about a year with my pet. I have mixed feelings about the No appointment policy. On one hand if you can commit to being one of the first in line when the doors open at 8, you can pretty much guarantee your pet will be seen within the hour. But if you cannot do that then it's really a toss up if you'll be able to get your pet same day care. Dr. Pilversack and Dr. Dowell are awesome and I love when they pick up my dog's case. It's hard to rate too critically because most places are short staffed as well and... read more
The doctor I spoke with both visits - one for my elderly dog of 16 who had a seizure and the other, a bengal cat who was vomiting and refused water and food for a couple weeks - very knowledgeable and what she was not knowledgeable on, she was up front with me about. With my dog, she could have suggested blood tests, x-rays, medication, etc. instead she said based on the seizure (caught on our home camera to show her), her age and breed, most likely was heart disease and with no history of seizures they would most likely ke... read more
I love going here, though I kind of hate that they're a walk in clinic now... BUT I understand why they do it, and am grateful whenever I have something relatively emergent and need to get in quickly without an appointment. Anyone who complains about the wait, or the service is clearly the problem. They're always efficient and helpful. Just know that emergencies will bump you (just like you'd hope they'd bump other people when it's your pet that's emergent) and you may wait longer than anticipated. The doctors are kind and ... read more
my 10 year old cat was having respiratory issues, difficulty breathing, dehydrated, and not eating. I took her to an emergency clinic in Salem but could not afford the $1,300 for X-rays, lab work, and fees. I live in Salem and called every place in Salem and surrounding areas and could not be seen due to not taking new patients or they were booked out for weeks. I called clinics in Aumsville, Albany, Corvallis, McMinnville, Canby, Newberg, Portland, everywhere and was becoming discouraged. I finally called Companion Animal ... read more
We were put in the room because it was our turn and waited at least half an hour for the doctor to show up. Unacceptable. NOTE: However, when we did get service it was fast and professional. The vet was completely trustworthy. I am upping my review from one star to 3.
Our dear shepherd passed this am. They took us back immediately. They processed the payment and asked if we wanted ashes. They brought the gurney to the car and were very empathetic. I know more arrived home and the veterinarian called us and gave us closure on what he believed was the cause of death - not poison - GDV. Thank you for your kindness.
