Dr. Brian Pilversack is an amazing doctor at the Hillsboro Companion Animal Hospital. There are a few other staff members that are great however one female dr misdiagnosed my dog and I almost lost him. Also they dont remind you about upcoming vaccinations so you need to remind them.
Business response:
Thank you for your kind words and feed back! I passed this on to Dr. Pilversack and our team.
Our first visit was a check up in April thisyear for our 19 year old cat. The Vet was very gentle, ran some tests, and determined she was in amazing condition for her age. We were not pressured in any way to do further tests etc. We went back today as she was developing ingrown claws (apparently not uncommon for older kitties). The front office staff were wonderful, very kind and friendly. The Vet Tech who trimmed her nails was very kind and gentle. It was another awesome experience, THANK YOU
Business response:
Thank you Deb! Spice is an amazing Kitty. She does look great. You have taken such great care of Spice. :)
We bring all three of our pets here. 2 dogs and 1 cat to keep them up on their flea meds and shots and also buy our small dogs prescription food from here when available... always so fast and friendly :) I always procrastinate going in because you cant make an appointment but they do not disappoint... I always get a different veterinarian and they are always very nice. Highly reccomend
Business response:
Thank you for your kind compliments, Sepe! We love visits from you and your family and appreciate you trusting us with your pet's care.
Pretty impressed. My almost 8 year old bulldog has some leaky anal glands, and that can cause some discomfort and blood for sure. Took him in and got a quick assessment and some meds to get rid of his infection. He will be good as new in a couple weeks. Thank you to all there...
Business response:
That's such great news!!!! Thank you.
We have been coming to Companion Hillsboro for almost 20 years. In that time we have had five dogs and six cats and never had any complaints. Our pets have seen Dr. Pilversack and Dr. Connelly (now with her own practice) for many different things. As they got older, our pets have been seen for cancer, diabetes,an ACL tear, as well as routine care. We have had four older pets put down there and always receive compassionate care. As for wait times,if you go to a walk-in clinic during the times that will be predictably busy,... read more
Been to them with all 4 of my cats at different times as well as my bunny and a Guinea pig. They are always super nice, super understanding, and explain complicated things very well. They were incredibly professional and compassionate when my little brother had to have his Guinea pig put down, and extremely responsive and helpful when I came in with full panic attack as my cat was having an emergency. They always send us a card after a pet passes away. I am always super impressed with how careful and empathetic they are.
The staff here obviously cares about animals and does their best. I have just one suggestion. When an animal is brought in to the hospital, and the owner of the pet is financially strapped, and the pet shows obvious signs of obstruction: unable to eat, vomiting for 3-4 days, dehydration, loss of appetite, distended abdomen, signs of severe pain, etc... Please suggest an x-ray for $80. And, If there is a rather large obstruction in the intestine and there is no way that it is going to pass, give the owner of the pet options: ... read more
Brought my 17 year old chihuahua in to their clinic (to be put down) just before they were about to close. Companion is not my vet, but they were the only ones open and I didn't want my baby to suffer any longer. They were so extremely patient and understanding! Today I received a card in the mail expressing their sympathy. Thank you Companion for your kindness!
I've been with this practice 20+ years and am very happy with the care my babies receive there.Over the years I've had to say goodbye to many pets from dogs to ferrets and they've always shown care and compassion for my losses- they're all great but Dr Pilversack is especially awesome!
