Black Bear diner refused service because my 7 year old, with asmtha wasn't wearing a mask. I will not support them ever again.
This morning we went into our local Black Bear where we have eaten many times and enjoyed our experience and food. I would not be sharing this review publicly but I cannot contact them directly to get a personal response on their website. We were shocked to be seated at a table that clearly had NOT been cleaned from the previous patrons. We told the hostess who got a damp rag and began very lightly to wipe first the seats and then the table with the same damp rag. She didn’t even get off some of the crumbs. I told my... read more
Unapologetically horrible service. I don’t mind slow. But I’ve been here many times now, and it is always ridiculously slow, as in waiting hours to get food or drinks, and they never apologize, take ownership, or offer solutions. I truly believe the only reason they are busy is because there aren’t many other options for breakfast food around us, because I can’t believe anyone would opt for the one place that serves cold food, and treats it’s patrons as if they don’t matter.
Food might be decent but the location I went to was a traffic jam of gathering to get in & out, no social distancing observed the taped route still makes for cross patterns. You’ve had months to figure out a traffic pattern, I was so uncomfortable and won’t be returning until employees and management have a functioning process to protect theme selves and customers.
This was my First visit and I will never go again. Very poor service never got half of what I ordered. Also didn’t have dishes clean so we got plastic utensils. The kids meals are the same size as adult meals but cheaper just a heads up. The server we had also got an attitude when we told her what was wrong would not recommend this place at all!
Really, #blackbeardiner? We ordered pickup tonight and I am super disappointed with what we got. Options selected were wrong, food was hastily thrown together, cold, and in general of much poorer quality than I’ve ever had from Black Bear in the past. For one example, this was our “strawberry French toast”.
It was 99 degrees out and the location on S Virginia had an employee in a full black bear suit walking up and down the street. I told the girls up front what the temp was.. just in case no one knew. They said “we know!!!” We love you guys but come on... is a little business worth more than your employee safety????
Just Had our food delivered. The fries were Burnt The hamburger was overcooked ordered it medium the potatoes that came with the breakfast were Burnt. I’m posting two pictures of french fries maybe you can take a lesson on how to make some good fries
Watch your bank accounts if you leave a tip via a card. My $5.00 tip was turned into an $8.00 tip. Yes, I’m aware its only a few dollars, but who knows how many customers this has been done too. Its also super dishonest. We actually liked our food and the restaurant atmosphere but will not be returning nor recommended this location due to the dishonesty.
