In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. We loved eating at the black bear dinner! It was delicious and our waitress Prodigy was the sweetest!!! Will definitely be going back there to eat!

I wanted to give a shout out to Black Bear Diner in Layton. We ordered take out from them recently -- had it delivered -- and when it arrived, there were some items missing. I called the restaurant and they said they'd have someone deliver the rest of the food. They did so in a timely manner, and they included a free dessert to compensate us for our trouble. I was really impressed. That was true customer service and I so appreciated it! The food was delicious as well. So I highly recommend them.
