In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedDropped into the Madras, OR location today about 2pm’ish. Our server was great she made a mistake on one of the orders and immediately corrected it. No worries. She was very attentive and always making sure our food was good and the drinks were always full. Just curious about a conversation I overheard between a manager and I think a brand new employee that from what I heard had maybe only been on the job a couple of hours. The food is outstanding! Do not pass this place up! Stop by & eat some of the best diner food you'll ever find! This place should be on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives for sure!

This diner has a large menu and delicious food. Received great service from waitress Tina and her team in the Midwest City, Ok location. Highly recommended restaurant!

We have continued to frequent because initially they were following CD. recommendations and the 50% capacity rule. Today we were disappointed at the disregard to health recommendations.

I had SERIOUSLY the worst week ever. Came for breakfast Saturday morning and Jeannie made my ENTIRE WEEK! The food was excellent and the service was delightful. Thanks JEANNIE!!!!!

Found them for the first time i had the bear claw breakfast it was yummy. Hubby had the meatloaf and it was amazing. We will be going back for sure !!
