RecommendedNormally I always really enjoy Black Bear Diner. Unfortunately I was extremely let down by their Corned Beef Hash. It’s offered with a side of potatoes. But why? It already has potatoes in it. The corned beef was great if there wasn’t so little of it. It was completely underwhelming. The food was great and I dont want to ruin their ratings because we love the Beaverton location but we had the absolute most insufferable hostess in the Mt. Shasta location. We went in to ask for a menu after putting our names down and she immediately told us to go outside without even asking us if we needed something. She then gave us the menu after we asked and told us to go outside to wait... which we did. I go to Black Bear Diner frequently. The food is always awesome and large portions. The staff is always friendly. The manager Larry always gives you a friendly chat and always asks if you need anything and if you arent satisfied he will make it right. Best Bfast in town!! Chicken fried steak with biscuits, hashbrowns, country gravy & eggs! Yumm

we eat at black bear all the time and the food as usual with great service was great but on the way out my husband purchased a cherry pie for me to say I was disappointed is understating it the only crust is the strips on the top it's mostly sauce with very little cherries it does taste good but they need to put three times as many cherries in it and less sauce and a crusts on the sides and the bottom and then it would be outstanding
