I purchased both my fiancee's engagement ring and both of our wedding bands at Mervis In Tyson's Corner. I cannot say how much we both loved our experience with Mervis. Lisa Binder helped us pick out the most prefect wedding bands. Mark S's review of Mervis and his account of Emily (actually spelled Emilie) is so uncharacteristic! With patience, good humor, and class, Emilie has helped me find an entire outfit of diamonds for my fiance/wife. Sara Tosyali at the Tysons location was down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable and fun to work with. My fiancé and I met with Sara a couple weeks ago, and I wanted her to find the perfect diamond, after selecting exactly what my fiancé wanted. During those 2 weeks, I shopped around at other boutique jewelry stores, not impressed. Sara found the perfect stone and my fiancé and I went back to see the stone today. My fiancé smiled and cried tears of joy, we found the perfect diamond thanks to Sara. Great purchasing experience.

I went to Mervis with a girlfriend of mine to get some ideas for her engagement ring! Her guy gave us the OK to pick out some styles she liked and then he would go in afterwards and pick from amongst those. And they decided he would pick out the center stone on his own too. I planned to propose to my girlfriend while we were on a mini vacation in DC. So, we went to Mervis to shop for an engagement ring. It was one of the worst experiences ever. We were greeted by a security guard who gave us directions on how to operate the doors. One of them opens only when the other closes. We felt we were in a prison not a jewelry store. Yelp admin want me to clean up my comments :-) ... (or else I'll trash talk like ....) I feel the same way with many of the previous customers that did or used go to Mervis and shop for an engagement ring. ---STYLE & Layout--- Security: Have to enter through 2 security door and there is a security guard at all times. Safety rated at 5 Selling Style: Enter into a waiting room and wait for a sale consultant. My comments: Wait time is about 15-30min for one to show up even if you have an appointments. I had finally decided to propose to my girlfriend. It was thursday and I wanted to propose on monday so I called Mervis and made an appointment on short notice. I had my mother and father with me and Jonny Mervis himself helped us choose our diamond and setting. It was all very smooth and efficient. My fiancé and I went there to purchase our wedding bands. Unfortunately the place where he purchases mine, closed their northern va location and only had another one about 45 minutes away. We went to Mervis because we has some friends purchase their rings there so we went to check it out. Tina was our salesperson and she was very honest and professional. I worked with Jon at Mervis and went in to see him twice and he was very professional, easy to talk to, and brought out several loose diamonds for me to view. I was looking for a specific colored diamond and he said he could have one sent in if the ones he had were not exactly what I was looking for. He followed up with me via email and wasn't trying to push any specific diamond on me. He was a pleasure to work with!!!!!! Ask for Jon if you want to work with a friendly professional!!!!
