My consultant Jordan was great. We came on a Sunday with about 30 mins prior to closing and he treated us with the utmost respect. He did not try and push us out of the store and we stayed about 35 mins past closing. My GF and I made an appt to see him that following Saturday and again he was very respectful and answered all of my GF questions. VERY friendly and again did not push me to buy anything. My (now) husband and I went to Mervis when we were engagement ring shopping since we had heard good things about them. The sales associate was very passionate about diamonds and patient with us as we asked a lot of questions and tried on several settings. What goes behind the scenes is very interesting to say the least. Not a great place for an honest person ! Sales philosophy, " Be serious about buying or don't waste our time !" Hence, the interrogation rooms ! Glad to hear that Royal members are happy with Fred's. P.S. Avoid a salesperson called Emily. She is LOCO in the head with some hormones problems.
Mervis Diamond Importers definitely lives up to their reputation. I recently got engaged and my diamond specialist, Sara Tosyali, was very helpful. From the minute I walked through the door to when I finally purchased the ring, there wasn't a single moment when she was not available to answer my questions. If you want the best when it comes to quality of diamonds, then look no further! My husband and I had a wonderful experience here! Words can't express how impressed we were with the service, and the quality of my engagement ring, and wedding band. I was so impressed, that I bought my husbands wedding band from Mervis as well. Even if we had an issue with our rings, they took care of it immediately (minor details). I would HIGHLY recommend this store to anyone who is in the market for TOP NOTCH diamonds.
I had a great experience working with Mervis. I first visited their Friendship Heights location without an appointment and was amazed that they actually called a representative (Sara Tosyali) to travel from the Vienna, VA location, since they weren't otherwise able to personally assist me. My overall experience was great..I do see people have had different experiences here. First place I went to when I started looking for an engagement ring, sat down with Tina Claery who asked if I knew what I was looking for and what I wanted. I did, which made it very easy to go through different options, rings, diamonds etc. I suggest doing your research before you go looking for a ring so you are not overwhelmed and don't get frustrated. My fiance loved her ring from Mervis. Initially, we had a very nice ring with a nice diamond. Eventually, she wanted a slightly smaller, higher qualiy diamond on the same ring. Mervis accomodated us and helped us change the diamond on the setting without any problems. Brenda Friedman helped us. She was very friendly and did not pressure us to buy a ring. I went to Mervis for an engagement ring and my advisor was Sara Tosyali. She was fantastic, helped me learn about the kind of diamonds, offered several different styles and designs, and helped me pick out a great setting and stone. We went back a few months later for a wedding band and my fiancee and I were able to find a perfect ring.
