Our son was looking for a specific setting and could not find it online or in a store. Mervis Diamond Importers at Tysons did what no other jeweler could. They delivered the dream ring he had in mind, in time for a perfect proposal at the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in the Outer Banks. I could not have been happier with the customer service at Mervis. I was assisted by Emilie, who was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and credible. I never felt I was being "sold to." I told them exactly what I was looking for, and they were able to find it. From start to finish they made it an easy and even enjoyable process.
A great jewelry store, no question about it. Very nice people, good selection, high quality offerings. I'd suggest you make an appointment before going in, especially on high traffic weekends (i.e., trunk shows, sale weekends). Even if you don't make an appointment, they'll do everything they can to see you as quickly as possible. Mervis Diamond Importers sets the bar for retail jewelry experience! I say this because compared to the 12 other jewelry stores I visited, none of them provided the selection, professionalism, education and quality of service that i received from Mervis. First off, and I will get back to this later, this is a place that you have to pass through two security doors to get into. On top of that they prefer to take appointments. Even thought they take walk ins, an appointment is preferred for them and is best for you as well. The staff at the Tysons Corner Mervis store was outstanding (even when I brought my 3 year old son with me, they treated him great)! My fiancée and I were in there multiple times to get the right ring, the right stone, and the right wedding bands with each visit being better than the last. Mervis is THE BEST! We have been going there since 2005 when we first got engaged and have nothing but the best experiences and we have purchased many items from them. My then boyfriend and I loved our experience at Mervis. Kris was great to work with. We visited twice and ended up buying the first engagement ring setting I tried on and the matching wedding band. The prices were a good value and they honored the lower price when the band I was interested in had two very different prices as marked. The ring is even more beautiful then I remembered now that I have it on. Highly recommend!
