I want to give a 0 star. They reported us as 30 day lates to the credit bureaus even though we weren’t ever late. We were rear ended and the vehicle was considered a total. Insurance valued the car at less than we owed for the Auto loan. We were then instructed to call Credit Acceptance insurance department. We asked what was owed. It came to around $2000.00 we then asked if we could set up a payment plan to pay the remainder. They set it up over the phone, they said okay. These guys absolutely misrepresented the vehicle in which they financed and sold me. Less than 60 days of owing it the engine is toast, the check engine light was cut and the codes were cleared before I bought it. The previous owner admitted she had major engine issues and returned it to the dealer where they immediately sold it to me. Now they’re trying to stick me with the whole loan and won’t even try to make things right. This is by far the absolute worst finance company out there!!!!!! They keep LYING about how they’re reporting on your credit report. I was told MULTIPLE times by multiple agents that I SHOULDNT be having any late payments marked since March of 2019 when I was impacted by COVID. I’m marked late for that whole year, and for all of 2021 while I’ve been making all payments ON TIME- they’ve magically only marked June’s payment as such. This company is a SCAM! They illegally make changes to your account without your authorization! None of your personal information is actually safe with them. While trying to fix an issue with a very disrespectful rep. They purposely provoked a seizure out of me after being told over 3 times what they were doing. Credit Acceptance STOLE all of my credit information and opened a fraudulent lien AFTER I received a letter from them "DENIED" loan. AFTER A DENIAL LETTER they have been fraudulently reporting to my credit for collection of a lien. They call and send letters consistently. As if I am Really going to send some money?

If I could give this company 0 or negative stars I most certainly would. I was TWO days late for my payment that was set for autopay. For whatever reason (no fault of my own), the autopay was cancelled. Credit Acceptance has very rude and deceptive customer service representatives (if they can be called that), they have utterly harassed me with a barrage of calls for the past TWO days as of this writing, and what's more pathetic, they are completely argumentative. I'm joining the one star club, boys! Ok, let's start out with their shitty gap insurance. I'm a disabled young person with a job (due to disability repeatedly denying me despite me having multiple mobility based ailments and heart trouble) and I had bought a car through them so I could work a job despite being low income at the time. This is a horrible finance company. They repossessed my car I called in telling them that I wouldn’t get it out and if someone tried to not to release the vehicle as my ex roommate was trying to claim the vehicle they allowed him to be sent a third party release the tow company then gave my car to one of his friends at the repo lot I have attempted to report it stolen for over two years and police tell me since they released the vehicle there’s nothing that can be done I have thousands of dollars in unpaid tolls as well as t... read more
