We had a rat move into our house! We have a lot of construction in our neighborhood - which displaces rats from older homes and yards. We don't have AC, so we leave the back door open - likely the rat simply walked in and made himself at home. This company is very honest and very professional. I talked through the problem with Steve on the phone and he said the pattern was very unusual - that likely the rat wasn't coming in through a hole and had some how become trapped in the house. I had rat problem at my rental property last year and had Hydrex take care of it. After many trips and lots of money spend, problem never go away until I hired Critter Control. They were recommended by my neighbors and I should have listen to them!!! All of the 5 star reviews you see for Critter Control are well earned. These guys are awesome. I had a few rats in my attic, managed to catch 2 with traps but I had to call in the experts for the last elusive one. Mike came out (3 visits total, always on time), set up traps, identified entry points and gave me an estimate for repair. They do charge for their initial inspection, which seems like a high up front cost, but you get what you pay for. The general information and advice is well worth it. This company knows their business. They take a charge for inspection but it's worth it. They fixed issues and caught rats when others failed to. Highly recommend!
Who would ever guess that the person who comes to remove a very smelly dead possum from your grungy basement crawl space would be an enthusiastic professional??? Yet, that's just what Steve of Critter Control is. The deceased possum had wedged itself into an impossibly tiny space.....Steve couldn't find it at first. I have had raccoon troubles off and on under the house for years but never saw where they could be getting into the crawlspace. Constant HUGE fights under the house led me to believe we had a nest. Steve, who is the manager, came out within 48 hours of the initial call and found we had a critter super-highway into the crawlspace left by the previous deck contractor. Steve ultimately gave a fantastic inspection of my property and shared his photos without charging me even though he declined to work with our unique situation. I appreciated his honest and thorough approach and will be taking action on several of his recommendations. I recommend this company - I only wish I had less work ahead of me!
Jim was fantastic. We had droppings in our garage. We didn't know if they were from rats or mice, but they were chewing on everything. Jim came out and inspected the droppings and not only did he confirm they were rats, but told us how big they were based on the droppings and teeth marks.
