Get directionsthis is our fourth visit to crystal cove, previously giving it four stars .this was not our best visit. the staff has wonderful people like Naz,Chuck, Reuben, Martha and the whole physical therapy team. we had to wait three and a half hours from other employees for a pain pill as they worked their way down the rooms one by one so in spite of "we will be right there" it did not occur(Naz and Chuck were however very helpful when they were on shift) my wife received iv antibiotics for a few days during our visit and this ... read more
The 'care' in this facility is unimaginably awful. If this is 'skilled nursing', I cannot imagine 'unskilled'. The nurses really do not know their patients, and the physician is absent, and, therefore, clueless. The staff is often rude, incompetent, and not truthful. I have no confidence that they give patients their medicines, or that they monitor a simple food and hydration routine. BEWARE bringing your loved ones here. They may not live for you to regret it.

Hi Stephen, Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We are so sorry to hear about your experience and would love to speak with you to better address the situation. Feel free to contact me at 949-515-3930 -- if I'm not immediately available the receptionist can provide you my cell phone number. Thank you, Bryan, Administrator
This facility may look alittle better when you walk in but don't be fooled. I have a loved one who has been at several different skilled nursing facilities in Orange County and this has been the most disappointing. The adminstration is rude, uncaring and incompetent and don't get me started on the staff. I have known a handful of good nurses and CNAs but for the most part when a patient turns their light on to get some help, noone comes for 15-20 minutes and they are lazy beyond belief. My loved one had a roommate who got up... read more
Do not, under any circumstances, take a loved one here. I admitted my mother on a Saturday, and took her home by Monday morning. No meds, no food, no respect for the patient. No management on the weekends. The staff don't even use the hand sanitizer, and when ask them to they get nasty. The staff are horrible, and clearly do not care about the patients. Repeated requests for the Administrator went unanswered, but she talked to mom at 6 am and since mom said she was fine, she felt there was no need to respond to my call... read more

My father was admitted to Crystal Cove following a double bypass. Within 10 days he had picked up a superbug. He was on the road to recovery and whatever it was killed him. The staff did not catch the disease until it was too late. Be very careful about taking anyone to Crystal Cove who has an open wound.
I was not very impressed. I know some of my gripes might be better directed at the Insurance Companies dysfunction to cut costs with little concern for the patient, but overall, the place is run so badly I felt the need to weigh in with a review on Crystal Cover and staff. My mother was in for a hip replacement. They always rush them out before the are ready. ALWAYS! This was the second time in a year she was there! The issue came with them telling my mom they had contacted the in home care people and my mom being old eno... read more
If I could give a 0 rating, I would, but since the surrounding is nice, I would give it a 1 star. Please do not let the beautiful surrounding of Crystal Cove Rehabilitation Center deceive you. If you truly love your loved one, please do not take them to this facility. Extremely disappointed in the care, treatment that Crystal Cove Rehabilitation Center provided our 93 year old Mom. Unfortunately, if we did not take Mom to this facility, she would still be with us. My mom was taken to Crystal Cove Rehabilitation Center in... read more
DONT GO HERE!!!!! If I could give no stars and still get this rating out to anyone and any family I would. This is horrible. My mom was transferred there from Hoag. It was the most horrendous place I have ever seen. The non caring staff and administration "Lost my mother" She ended up being in the dining area, but no one knew that! When I asked the staff about her liquid and salt restrictions, they argued with me. Not just 1 staff member but 2. They had all the paperwork from the Cardiologist but never reviewed it and were u... read more
It has taken me eight months to be able to write this review since I have been so disgusted and angry about this facility. I am an active 60 year old woman and had my knee replaced in June 2013. I arrived at Crystal Cove on a Saturday afternoon via ambulance. We waited in the hallway in a gurney in front of the nurses station for over 30 minutes before they even acknowledged our presence. They put me in a bed that had dirty sheets and no one came to say even hello for at least an hour. As the night came and I was in such ... read more
