My dad went here for routine rehab care. He got bedsores and covid. Although the staff is very nice the care is lacking. My father passed away.

Under staffed. Residents asked to use the restroom and they tell them that they're too busy. They are not too busy as we followed them around. They were not too busy to take residence to the restroom. One of the residents say she's lucky if she gets to go twice a day or they get threatened that they're going to put a catheter in them. Not cool.

This is the worst possible place you could put your loved one. The food is horrible! Many of the meals are cold sandwiches on white bread. They often serve potato chips as a side dish! When the staff delivers a meal they just leave the tray on the bed table whether the patient is present, asleep or unable to feed their self. The nursing staff is courteous and professional. When you ask for assistance, they respond and are helpful. The disappointment with the care of my mother, who is very advanced in age. I specifically asked to keep her hydrated especially because she was admitted from a hospital admission with a urine infection and was going to finish her antibiotic treatment here. Because my mother was not offered water throughout her stay she became dehydrated quickly in 4 days and admitted back to the hospital. This was a setback for her re... read more

My neighbor was sent here after hospital stay and this place kicked her to the curb (got her an Uber to drop her off at her house without anyone to care for her) they shipped her home without any caregiver plans or resources knowing darn well she cannot take care of herself. I called her and she cannot get to the fridge to get food to eat! I felt so bad for her. She is still waiting for caregiver application to be approved and relies on neighbors and friends to help her without any family members close by. She wants to go to... read more

My grandma was admitted here and had horrible care! I have been a nurse for 12+ years. The nursing assistants did not listen to her when she said the water was too hot on her raw skin and left her alone in the dark and did not respond to her calling out. The staff was mad that she told her family about the events that happened and unhooked her phone so she COULD NOT call family!!!! My mother was at Crystal Cove for 17 days. I am an RN for 40 years and I would never send a family member to this facility. I encourage you not to as well. The night shift team were constantly physically rough with her. Many nights the door was slammed shut. She was unable to see her call light or the phone by her. She was left in a completely flat position in bed which she had to lay there until the day shift arrived. Water that was to hot was used to clean her up. Absolutely the worst care facility I have ever encountered. Staff are not trained, rude and do not care for the patients there. No required rehab was done for a hip replacement on my mother-in-law when movement is required for this type of surgery afterwards. Meds were not given at all and she has to have these daily, and some twice a day, due to renal failure. She has to be to dialysis 3 times a week and rides were scheduled.
