It took over 3 months from my first contact to the closing for my refinance. I have refinanced before (albeit not during Covid) and it took a month for all paperwork to be done and filed. I worked with Daniel very little...just the initial and then I worked with 2 others. The last person was Melissa McCarley, and she was great. Very reliable and got back to me fairly quick. The whole issue was that I sent all that was asked for and then because it took so long, I had to resend info. Not good.

Daniel was great in gettin us an outstanding rate. Mutual of Omaha Mortgage was a nightmare to deal with. The first 2 people seemed great. The 3rd person we were handed over to was horrible. Melissa had no customer service skills bee later found out that she was new and didn’t know what she was doing and didn’t seem too interested in asking those more experienced for help. Daniel wasn’t much help here. This is our 6th loan and the worst service.

The online portal for uploading documents is not user friendly to navigate. At first, we were communicating with 3 different people and it was a bit confusing. Sometimes they were asking for the same documents.

I never received an appraisal report. I followed up after closing but never received a response. That’s the only complain I have.

There were multiple math mistakes during the loan process which required me to advise the Mutual team. In fact, even the closing documents had the wrong amount (which I advised the team in advance they were wrong and no one listened). This required me to have re-sign documentation after my onsite closing. Also, I had to manage coordinating the time of the actual closing with the title company since I was not receiving updates from my mortgage support team. Bad overall process.
