TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

My parents always get this place to go and I'm back from college so I was finally able to try it. They got the medium spicy chicken sandwiches and they were really good. The medium was a bit to spicy for me so I was chugging milk throughout it but I still highly recommend.
Excellent hot chicken. Newly opened in Rice Village. Staff is very friendly and best part is that it is halal!
I lived in LA in ktown when Dave's hot chicken first started getting big and saw them go to a brick and mortar with huge lines out the door whenever I'd drive by. So I was surprised and excited to see them open up out here! Overall the taste and experience was awesome and it's still my favorite hot chicken. I'd love to try others and give them a chance but I just remember trying to time my days sometimes around when the lines would be shorter so I could get some of their hot chicken. I was happy to see this place finally open and to give it a try! It had been under construction for a while and passing by it always made my mouth water lol. ATMOSPHERE: This place has a really chill and trendy vibe. Good amount of indoor seating, and they have some outdoor seating. The place felt really clean and well-maintained which was nice! We stopped by Dave's for dinner tonight and had a great first experience! My fiancé & I shared the Dave's #2 (two sliders with fries) and added on both an extra tender and a side of mac & cheese. We got the chicken at the "hot" level, which I thought had just the right amount of spice. I also really appreciated how the chicken was very crispy without being greasy.
