I don't get the hype for this place... I got a single slider which, you can tell from the photos is on a basic hamburger bun with a frankly stingy portion of slaw, pickles, and a broken tender. We also got a mild tender and some fries. The fries have a Cajun seasoning on them but it was very mild in flavor almost a little bland. absolutely adore dave's hot chicken, my boyfriend and I frequent it very often-- but typically at other locations. Tonight was the second time i've been here, food was AMAZING but service was awful. My boyfriend and I stood in line for 25 minutes before we were able to place an order. Multiple people came in behind us and left because it was taking too long. The food is amazing. But the female cashier with dread locks is so rude and her attitude is so nasty. She wasn't attentive at all when I was ordering and responded with an annoyed tone when I simply asked how long my food would take.

I don't recommend this place is you want somewhere with friendly service. I do recommend this place if you like chicken. I came here 2 weekends in a row and each time with different staff members. Each time we came the staff had attitude and made you feel like they didn't want you there. Not a single smile or friendly gesture. We came back the second time because the food is really good. Finally checked Dave's Hot Chicken off of my bucket list recently, but was a bit let down with the experience. My Dave's combo was fresh and zesty, but the spice was really light. As a former Nashville resident, I realize that in hot chicken it's hard to please everyone with your spice levels -- but as a fan of the mild side, I found that the medium tenders barely had any heat. No flavor, just heat. Also very small like children sized. Only took a tiny bite, and threw the rest away. We got mild and hot. I would never try this place again and definitely do not recommend.

I came here hoping it would be like Mico's in the heights but it was pretty awful. The chicken was just alright butt what was a huge turn off was that they give you the Dave's sauce in an unappetizing packet instead of a container. I immediately regretted not going somewhere else in the village as soon as I received my food. Not to mention it was $12 for two chicken tenders. TWO. Wanted to like the place, but the chicken just isn't very good. It's over-fried and greasy/oily. The spice level was ok, but it was just red hot type sauce without any decent taste to it. I had the combo of a tender and a slider, which seemed like a good combo. But you can't have a mediocre marquee item and hope everything else makes up for it.

It did not live up to the hype AT ALL! The cashier was a little rude. She did not look pleased to be at work. While taking my order she rolled her eyes when I asked for a different dry rub. As soon as she was done with taking the order went right back to texting. The tables were sticky. As far as the food, it was 3/10. The fries were a tab bit over cooked.
