I came here hoping it would be like Mico's in the heights but it was pretty awful. The chicken was just alright butt what was a huge turn off was that they give you the Dave's sauce in an unappetizing packet instead of a container. I immediately regretted not going somewhere else in the village as soon as I received my food. Not to mention it was $12 for two chicken tenders. TWO. Wanted to like the place, but the chicken just isn't very good. It's over-fried and greasy/oily. The spice level was ok, but it was just red hot type sauce without any decent taste to it. I had the combo of a tender and a slider, which seemed like a good combo. But you can't have a mediocre marquee item and hope everything else makes up for it.

It did not live up to the hype AT ALL! The cashier was a little rude. She did not look pleased to be at work. While taking my order she rolled her eyes when I asked for a different dry rub. As soon as she was done with taking the order went right back to texting. The tables were sticky. As far as the food, it was 3/10. The fries were a tab bit over cooked. My partner and I stopped at dave's for lunch today and both ordered the 2 tenders with fries, hot. The restaurant was alright and the food was fresh to each order, however we didn't care for the concept. The chicken was flavorless besides the overwhelming red pepper in the breading. We were expecting a good hot flavor such as hot wings, not just spicy. I always say I like spicy foods to be spicy and have flavor, not just make my nose run. Food was meh, prices were steep.

Overrated Hot chicken....I don't even have the energy to give this review my full attention because I was that disappointed. Key Points: Salty Chicken with no seasoning. The breading is just about the only thing you'll get close to "seasoning." The chicken is just super underwhelming. I won't be returning. Fries are ok, pretty difficult to mess up some fries if we're being totally honest. Overall, you may like this place, you may not. Needs improvement if you ask me. Spicy Chicken Sandwich

I've been wanting to try this place since they opened but just haven't had the time. If you have seen any of my past post, you'll know I love hot chicken so this place was a must try for me. I was so disappointed. The chicken is seasoned with a dry powder and it's not wet at all, the only moisture comes from the slaw and Dave's sauce.

Terrible service, literally waited 40 minutes for my food. People started coming in and the line was out the door and the cashier was just staring not giving service to the other customers. Looks like a bunch of 16 years old working with a bad attitude.

its just another canes but with hot chicken. the chicken was kinda dry and honestly is very over priced. they also dont have fountain drinks they get the 20oz bottles ( like you would from a gas station ) except their large drink is a medium cup for like $3 with tax.

Decided to try their take out and order the two piece medium hot chicken and fries. Thank god the fries were good. Chicken sucked. Found out they are from California and need to go back. It was like your first try at frying chicken with a spicy batter. Ate half of one and 86 the rest. Can't see how this hot chicken place can make it. ?
