We love the food here. First time we tried it, we came three times that week. Our only complaint is the napkin situation. You have to ask the front counter employees for napkins, and they usually hand you only three, super thin tissue paper like napkins. With this kind of food you need more then that, and better quality. First time we tried the drive thru today, and received no napkins. Guess we should have asked.

I had been wanting to try Dave's Hot Chicken since they've been popping up recently. I was hoping they would have provided something a bit different that I hadn't been getting from Angry ChickZ for the last year or two, but nope. They're almost identical. Down the menu items and sauce. I did get the medium spice here tonight and it has no heat to it at all. Angry ChickZ is far more superior in that realm. Service was good, environment was great. Dave's Hot Chicken is a great go-to spot for Nashville Fried Chicken!!! First off, I've heard great things about Dave's from friends that live in SoCal. So I was very excited when they announced that they will be having locations in Sacramento. The service is really good! The servers were very helpful in explaining how to order and the spice levels that they offer. The chicken and fries were great! The chicken was nicely cooked and the service was quite good. I'm only dropping a star because apparently this style of chicken is not my thing. It's fried, but not crispy, and has a sort of very fine almost-sweet powder on it giving the color you see in the photos. I wasn't a fan. The slider was the best part because it added the flavor of the sauce and the bread and the pickle, but the tender alone wasn't something I'd order again.

What can I say that hasn't already been said. This chicken is juicy, crispy, flavorful and throws a punch of spice. The sandwich was very tasty, with the coleslaw and pickles, plus that sauce, perfect combination. The restaurant was bright and colorful with lots of designs and cool pictures. Lots of seating, didn't have to wait too long and they have a drive thru if you don't want to sit inside. This place will leave you wanting more.

Not sure why this place isn't packed! The chicken here is WAY BETTER than the other new place in town. The spice level choices are nice so everyone can get what they want and the chicken was so juicy and moist. I tried a medium and hot and both were excellent but I like spicy food so if you're not a spice person I'd do mild. Wasn't in the mood to try the really hot one but will next time to see if it's a different pepper flavor. Some of the tastiest and juiciest chicken I've had, however I am not convinced that the spice levels are as advertised. I started at medium, then hot, then very hot and didn't really find that heat level climbing in noticeable gradients. Decided to try to Reaper, expecting to "go over the falls" so to speak.
