Business owners should learn from the experience I just had at Dave's Hot Chicken. So yesterday, we waited about an hour in line and got home and received the wrong bag. We tried calling but I'm assuming due to how crowded this new restaurant is, they are not picking up phones. Fast forward to today, I wait in line another hour...get to the register and order the same meal from yesterday, show my receipt and explain the situation. We tried Dave's last year in Omaha and are happy there is finally one in Overland Park. The menu is simple so the kitchen can just focus on making great hot chicken sandwiches. Our son had the mac & cheese and it was pretty bland. Dave's sauce mixed with honey is da bomb.

Opening day at Dave's Hot Chicken new OP location was a success! This Chicken was kickin'. Come hungry and get ready to enjoy some great fried chicken. Shout out to the staff that were really helpful, nice, and organized to handle the rush!
So the decor was dope. I think they used local artists . The employee were very nice and the managers walked the floor to make sure everything was kool. My only complaint was that my chicken slider was waaay too big so I couldn't enjoy it the way it needed to be enjoyed. Other than that, the chicken was on point but the fries were a little on the blah side today. Nonetheless, I'm glad we finally have one in our backyard and I WILL be goin back when it's not the grand opening. lol

Dave's first KC metro location served up some somewhat tasty Nashville-style chicken and delicious fries during my opening day dine-in lunch but there was room for improvement. My #3 meal {$12.99 without drink) included a tender on a piece of white bread, a tender sandwich with kale slaw and Dave's sauce, crinkle cut fries and pickles. I picked up my order when the beeper went off just three minutes after I ordered at the counter, where the service was efficient and accommodative. Food is Overpriced. Chicken was Over seasoned. Cold - sat in the window while she bagged to go food that came up after ours was in the window. Fries were so salty you couldn't eat them. First and last trip

Used to be good. My wife waited almost 45 minutes for dry overcooked chicken. I don't know what happened but we'll move on and spend our money with a business that cares about their product.

Service is absolutely horrible, price for one tender/sandwich meal and a drink was $18 which is insane Food was just mediocre. First and last time I'll ever go here....
