TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The chicken flavor was very good and I liked the spice level of the medium chicken that I got. The portions were generous but overall I feel it was a little pricey for what we got and compared to other chicken restaurants. I would probably come back to try one of the other items, their sandwich was very good, but basically it was chicken Strips on a bun. The Dave's "not so chicken" is to die for! My husband and I both prefer the cauliflower over the chicken, the texture and taste of the breading is AMAZING! My other obsession from Dave's is their pickles! For the love of god ...please someone tell me where I can buy a whole jar? What brand are they?!?!?
Super awesome place! The chicken is nicely seasoned and doesn't feel greasy. It's nice you can customize your heat level. We'll definitely go back!

My boyfriend and I went on a day when the line was quite short and the service was fast-- I think that really helped this experience start off on the right foot. When we got our meal, we were very satisfied with the flavor and freshness of our food! Our expectations were pretty low to start-- it's fast food. But, I would say this place ranks in the highest tier of fast-foods. It's a place my boyfriend and I would go for a very casual date. If you're a huge fan of chicken strips, try this place out!!

Finally got around to trying this. I'll start with the food. As you can see by the photo the tenders are huge. With both the tenders and slider, we got mild. Wasn't hot at all, seasoning had a slight sweet taste on the back end which wasn't bad. The fries had a bit too much seasoning on them but fried okay. The Mac and cheese was very lackluster. I went here for the first time and it was a good experience. The person who took my order was very nice and pleasant! I wish I knew his name. The restaurant was bright and clean. The restroom could have used a little attention, but it was not horrible. I felt the chicken strips were a nice size, and the flavor was good. I had the medium. It is a little expensive. Dave's is my favorite place to go for hot chicken. They're hot is spicy. Their extra hot is the one that I get. It reminds me of Hattie B's down in Nashville the hottest one I believe you must sign some kind of waiver. I got it once in Las Vegas, and it was good but just a little too hot. Their kale salad coleslaw is really good as well. They are a little pricey, but the pieces of chicken are always huge.
