TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The chicken here is pretty good, the meat isn't dry which is pretty good and I enjoyed the amount of pickles they give you. However this is pretty heavy meal and I didn't feel the best when after eating it.
Was super excited to check out this new chicken joint. I was warned by some friends that their chicken is hot hot. I ended up ordering a two piece meal (mild) with a side of mac & cheese and a chocolate shake. I definitely could've gone hotter with my chicken. It wasn't as hot as I thought it was going to be. I've stopped in here to pick up dinner, and ordered via DoorDash a few times now, so I think it's fair to say I'm a fan. There was a ton of hype surrounding Dave's when it first opened so I was a bit worried it might be overblown as often new chains that open up in the area are. We are huge fan of Hattie B's in Nashville. Obviously Nashville is a bit far away so we always try to find good hot chicken locally. We thought we would give Dave's a shot. It was sooooooo good! The most legit hot chicken in our area, we have tried a lot of them to give Dave's that title. We live nearly two hours north of Dave's but we will gladly make the trip often for that hot chicken! The staff were friendly and the order came out fast. Highly recommended.
